渴慕住在圣殿
可拉后裔的诗，交给乐长，用迦特乐器。
84 万军之耶和华啊，
你的居所多么美好！
2 我深愿进入耶和华的院宇，
我的身心向永活的上帝欢呼。
3 万军之耶和华，
我的王我的上帝啊，
在你的祭坛边，麻雀找到了家，
燕子筑巢养育幼雏。
4 住在你殿里的人有福了！
他们不断地歌颂你。（细拉）
5 靠你得力量、向往到锡安朝见你的人有福了！
6 他们走过流泪谷，
这谷就变成泉源之地，
秋雨使谷中水塘遍布。
7 他们越走越有力，
都要到锡安朝见上帝。
8 万军之上帝耶和华啊，
求你听我的祷告；
雅各的上帝啊，求你垂听。（细拉）
9 上帝啊，求你照看我们的盾牌，
垂顾你所膏立的王。
10 在你的院宇住一日胜过在别处住千日！
我宁愿在我上帝的殿中看门，
也不愿住在恶人的帐篷里。
11 因为耶和华上帝是太阳，是盾牌；
祂赐下恩惠和尊荣，
不留下任何好处不赐给行为正直的人。
12 万军之耶和华啊，
信靠你的人有福了！

Soạn cho nhạc trưởng để dùng với đàn ghi-tít. Bài ca của con cháu Cô-rê.
84 Lạy Chúa Toàn Năng, đền thờ Ngài thật đẹp!
2 Tôi chỉ ao ước được ở trong sân của đền thờ Ngài.
Con người tôi chỉ muốn hát ca ngợi Thượng Đế hằng sống.
3 Con chim sẻ tìm được nơi ở,
và chim én tìm được nơi xây tổ.
Chúng nó nuôi con gần bàn thờ Ngài.
4 Phúc cho người được sống trong đền thờ Ngài;
họ sẽ luôn luôn ca ngợi Ngài. Xê-la
5 Phúc cho người nhận được sức lực từ nơi Ngài,
tức những người muốn đi đến Giê-ru-sa-lem.
6 Đang khi họ đi qua thung lũng Ba-ca,
họ sẽ biến nó ra suối nước.
Mưa thu làm ngập các vũng nước.
7 Họ càng bước tới Giê-ru-sa-lem càng sung sức,
mỗi người ra mắt Thượng Đế
tại đó.
8 Lạy Thượng Đế Toàn Năng,
xin hãy nghe lời cầu nguyện tôi,
Thượng Đế của Gia-cốp ôi, xin hãy lắng nghe tôi. Xê-la
9 Lạy Thượng Đế, Đấng che chở [a] chúng tôi;
xin hãy đối xử nhân từ cùng vua mà Ngài đã bổ nhiệm.
10 Một ngày trong sân đền thờ Thượng Đế,
quí hơn một ngàn ngày ở nơi khác.
Tôi thà giữ làm người gác cửa cho đền thờ Chúa,
hơn là sống trong nhà kẻ ác.
11 Chúa là Thượng Đế giống như mặt trời và cái thuẫn;
Chúa ban nhân từ và vinh dự.
Ngài không từ chối ban những điều tốt cho những ai ăn ở lương thiện.
12 Lạy Chúa Toàn Năng, phúc cho những ai tin cậy nơi Ngài.

The Blessedness of Dwelling in the House of God

84 How (B)lovely [b]is Your tabernacle,
O Lord of hosts!
2 (C)My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
Where she may lay her young—
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your (D)house;
They will still be praising You. Selah
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley (E)of [c]Baca,
They make it a spring;
The rain also covers it with [d]pools.
7 They go (F)from strength to strength;
[e]Each one (G)appears before God in Zion.
8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
9 (H)O God, behold our shield,
And look upon the face of Your [f]anointed.
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather [g]be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is (I)a sun and (J)shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
(K)No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
(L)Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

1 How lovely is your dwelling place,(A)
Lord Almighty!
2 My soul yearns,(B) even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.(C)
3 Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,(D)
Lord Almighty,(E) my King(F) and my God.(G)
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.[c]
5 Blessed are those whose strength(H) is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.(I)
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
they make it a place of springs;(J)
the autumn(K) rains also cover it with pools.[d]
7 They go from strength to strength,(L)
till each appears(M) before God in Zion.(N)
8 Hear my prayer,(O) Lord God Almighty;
listen to me, God of Jacob.
9 Look on our shield,[e](P) O God;
look with favor on your anointed one.(Q)
10 Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper(R) in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is a sun(S) and shield;(T)
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold(U)
from those whose walk is blameless.
12 Lord Almighty,
blessed(V) is the one who trusts in you.
