祈求上帝击败仇敌
亚萨的诗。
83 上帝啊，求你不要缄默无声，
一言不发。
2 看啊，你的敌人在喧嚷，
恨你的人趾高气扬。
3 他们用诡计害你的子民，
他们一起谋害你所疼爱的人。
4 他们说：
“来吧，让我们铲除以色列，
让他们亡国，被人遗忘。”
5 他们串通一气，
勾结起来抵挡你。
6 他们是以东人、以实玛利人、摩押人、夏甲人、
7 迦巴勒人、亚扪人、亚玛力人、非利士人和泰尔人。
8 亚述也跟他们勾结，
要助罗得的后代一臂之力。（细拉）
9 求你对付他们，
如同对付米甸人和基顺河边的西西拉与耶宾。
10 他们在隐·多珥灭亡，
成了地上的粪土。
11 求你使他们的首领得到俄立和西伊伯那样的下场，
使他们的王侯得到西巴和撒慕拿那样的下场。
12 他们曾说：
“让我们夺取上帝的草场吧。”
13 我的上帝啊，求你把他们驱散，
如同狂风吹散尘土和碎秸。
14 烈火怎样烧毁森林，
火焰怎样吞没山岭，
15 求你也照样用狂风追赶他们，
用暴雨恐吓他们。
16 耶和华啊，
求你使他们满面羞愧，
这样他们才会来寻求你。
17 愿他们永远羞愧惊恐，
愿他们在耻辱中灭亡。
18 让他们知道你是耶和华，
唯有你是普天下的至高者。

O cântare. Un psalm al lui Asaf
1 Dumnezeule, nu(A) tăcea! Nu tăcea şi nu Te odihni, Dumnezeule!
2 Căci iată că vrăjmaşii(B) Tăi se frământă
şi cei ce Te(C) urăsc înalţă capul.
3 Fac planuri pline de vicleşug împotriva(D) poporului Tău
şi se sfătuiesc împotriva celor ocrotiţi de Tine.
4 „Veniţi”, zic ei, „să-i(E) nimicim din mijlocul neamurilor,
ca să nu se mai pomenească numele lui Israel!”
5 Se strâng toţi cu o inimă,
fac un legământ împotriva Ta:
6 corturile(F) lui Edom şi ismaeliţii,
Moabul şi hagareniţii,
7 Ghebal, Amon, Amalec,
filistenii cu locuitorii Tirului.
8 Asiria se uneşte şi ea cu ei
şi îşi împrumută braţul ei copiilor lui Lot.
9 Fă-le ca lui Madian(G),
ca lui Sisera(H), ca lui Iabin la pârâul Chison,
10 care au fost nimiciţi la En-Dor
şi au ajuns(I) un gunoi pentru îngrăşarea pământului.
11 Căpeteniilor lor fă-le ca lui Oreb(J) şi Zeeb,
şi tuturor domnilor lor ca lui Zebah(K) şi Ţalmuna!
12 Căci ei zic: „Să punem mâna
pe locuinţele lui Dumnezeu!”
13 Dumnezeule(L), fă-i ca vârtejul de praf,
ca(M) paiul luat de vânt,
14 ca focul care arde pădurea
şi ca flacăra care aprinde(N) munţii!
15 Urmăreşte-i astfel cu(O) furtuna Ta
şi bagă groaza în ei cu vijelia Ta!
16 Acoperă-le(P) faţa de ruşine,
ca să caute Numele Tău, Doamne!
17 Să fie ruşinaţi şi îngroziţi pe vecie,
să le roşească obrazul de ruşine şi să piară!
18 Ca(Q) să ştie că numai Tu, al cărui Nume(R) este Domnul,
Tu eşti Cel Preaînalt(S) pe tot pământul;

83 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.
