我就搭救你;

我在打雷的密雲中回答你,

在米利巴的水邊試驗你。”(細拉)

“我的子民哪!你要聽,我要勸戒你;

Festglädje och lydnad

81 [a](A) För körledaren, till gittít[b]. Av Asaf.

Jubla inför Gud, vår styrka,
    ropa av glädje till Jakobs Gud!
Stäm upp lovsång,
    slå på tamburin,
        på den ljuvliga harpan och lyran.
(B) Blås i hornet vid nymåne
    och vid fullmåne
        på vår högtidsdag,
för det är en lag för Israel[c],
    ett beslut från Jakobs Gud.
(C) Han bestämde det
        som ett vittnesbörd i Josef
    när han drog ut mot Egyptens land.

Jag hörde en röst
    som jag inte kände:
(D) "Jag lyfte bördan från hans axlar,
    hans händer blev fria
        från lastkorgen.
(E) I nöden ropade du
        och jag räddade dig.
    Jag svarade dig, dold i åska,
        jag prövade dig
            vid Meribas vatten. Sela

(F) Hör, mitt folk, jag vill varna dig!
    Israel, om du bara ville
        lyssna på mig!
10 (G) Hos dig får ingen annan gud finnas,
    du ska inte tillbe
        en främmande gud.
11 Jag är Herren din Gud
    som har fört dig upp
        ur Egyptens land.
    Öppna din mun helt
        så ska jag fylla den!

12 Men mitt folk
        ville inte höra min röst,
    Israel lydde mig inte.
13 (H) Då lät jag dem gå
        i sina hjärtans hårdhet,
    de fick vandra
        efter sina egna planer.

14 (I) Om mitt folk bara ville höra mig,
    om Israel ville vandra
        på mina vägar!
15 Då skulle jag snart kuva
        deras fiender
    och vända min hand
        mot deras motståndare.
16 De som hatar Herren
        skulle krypa för honom,
    och deras öde skulle vara för evigt.
17 (J) Han skulle ge dig
        finaste vete att äta
    och mätta dig
        med honung ur klippan."

God’s Goodness and Israel’s Waywardness.

For the music director; [a]on the Gittith. A Psalm of Asaph.

81 (A)Sing for joy to God our (B)strength;
Shout (C)joyfully to the (D)God of Jacob.
Raise a song, strike (E)the tambourine,
The sweet sounding (F)lyre with the (G)harp.
Blow the trumpet at the (H)new moon,
At the full moon, on our (I)feast day.
For it is a statute for Israel,
An ordinance of the God of Jacob.
He established it as a testimony in Joseph
When he [b](J)went throughout the land of Egypt.
I heard a (K)language I did not know:

“I [c](L)relieved his shoulder of the burden,
His hands were freed from the [d]basket.
You (M)called in trouble and I rescued you;
I (N)answered you in the hiding place of thunder;
I put you to the test at the (O)waters of Meribah. Selah
(P)Hear, My people, and I will admonish you;
Israel, if you (Q)would listen to Me!
There shall be no (R)strange god among you;
Nor shall you worship a foreign god.
10 (S)I, the Lord, am your God,
Who brought you up from the land of Egypt;
(T)Open your mouth wide and I will (U)fill it.

11 “But My people (V)did not listen to My voice,
And Israel did not [e]obey Me.
12 So I (W)gave [f]them over to the stubbornness of their heart,
To walk by their own plans.
13 Oh that My people (X)would listen to Me,
That Israel would (Y)walk in My ways!
14 I would quickly (Z)subdue their enemies
And (AA)turn My hand against their adversaries.
15 (AB)Those who hate the Lord would (AC)pretend to obey Him,
And their time of punishment would be forever.
16 [g]But I would feed you with the [h](AD)finest of the wheat,
And with (AE)honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

81 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

10 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

15 The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
