神的威严，人的尊贵
大卫的诗，交给诗班长，用“迦特”的乐器。
8 耶和华我们的主啊！
你的名在全地是多么威严，
你把你的荣美彰显在天上。
2 因你仇敌的缘故，
你从小孩和婴儿的口中，
得着了赞美（“得着了赞美”或译：“建立了能力”），
使仇敌和报仇的无话可说。
3 我观看你手所造的天，
和你所安放的月亮和星星。
4 啊！人算甚么，你竟记念他？
世人算甚么，你竟眷顾他？
5 你使他比天使（“天使”或译：“ 神”）低微一点，
却赐给他荣耀尊贵作冠冕。
6 你叫他管理你手所造的，
把万物都放在他的脚下，
7 就是所有的牛羊、
田间的走兽、
8 空中的飞鸟、海里的鱼，
和海里游行的水族。
9 耶和华我们的主啊！
你的名在全地是多么威严。

8 எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, உமது நாமம் பூமியின் எல்லா இடத்திலும் மிகுந்த அற்புதமானது!
விண்ணுலகிலும் உமது நாமம் உமக்குத் துதிகளைக் கொண்டு வருகிறது.
2 பிள்ளைகள், குழந்தைகள் வாயிலுமிருந்து உம்மைத் துதிக்கும் பாடல்கள் வெளிப்படும்.
உம் பகைவரை அமைதிப்படுத்த இவ்வல்லமையான பாடல்களைக் கொடுத்தீர்.
3 கர்த்தாவே, உமது கைகளால் நீர் செய்த வானங்களை நான் கண்டேன்.
நீர் படைத்த நிலாவையும், நட்சத்திரங்களையும் நான் கண்டு ஆச்சரியமடைந்தேன்.
4 ஏன் மனிதர்கள் உமக்கு முக்கியமாயினர்?
ஏன் அவர்களை நீர் நினைவுகூருகிறீர்?
ஏன் அவர்களைக் கவனிக்கிறீர்?
5 ஆனால் மனிதர்கள் உமக்கு முக்கியமாயினர்!
அவர்களை ஏறக்குறைய தேவர்களைப் போலவே உண்டாக்கினீர்.
மனிதரை மகிமையாலும், மேன்மையாலும் முடிசூட்டினீர்.
6 நீர் உண்டாக்கின எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் அவர்களை அதிகாரிகளாக வைத்தீர்.
7 ஆடுகள், பசுக்கள், காட்டு மிருகங்கள் அனைத்தையும் மனிதர்கள் ஆண்டனர்.
8 வானத்துப் பறவைகளையும்
சமுத்திரத்தில் நீந்தும் மீன்களையும் அவர்கள் ஆண்டனர்.
9 எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, உமது நாமம் உலகத்தில் எங்கும் மிகவும், மிகவும் அற்புதமானது!

1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name(A) in all the earth!
You have set your glory(B)
in the heavens.(C)
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold(D) against your enemies,
to silence the foe(E) and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,(F)
the work of your fingers,(G)
the moon and the stars,(H)
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c](I)
5 You have made them[d] a little lower than the angels[e](J)
and crowned them[f] with glory and honor.(K)
6 You made them rulers(L) over the works of your hands;(M)
you put everything under their[g] feet:(N)
7 all flocks and herds,(O)
and the animals of the wild,(P)
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,(Q)
all that swim the paths of the seas.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
