ஆசாபின் துதிப் பாடல்களுள் ஒன்று.
79 தேவனே, சில ஜனங்கள் மற்ற நாடுகளிலிருந்து உமது ஜனங்களோடு போரிட வந்தார்கள்.
அந்த ஜனங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்தை அழித்தார்கள்.
அவர்கள் எருசலேமைப் பாழக்கிச் சென்றார்கள்.
2 காட்டுப் பறவைகள் உண்ணும்படி பகைவர்கள் உமது ஊழியக்காரனின் சரீரங்களைக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவோரின் சரீரங்களைக் காட்டு விலங்குகள் உண்ணும்படி விட்டுச்சென்றார்கள்.
3 தேவனே, இரத்தம் தண்ணீராகப் பெருக்கெடுத்தோடும் வரைக்கும் பகைவன் உமது ஜனங்களைக் கொன்றான்.
மரித்த உடல்களைப் புதைப்பதற்கென ஒருவனும் விட்டு வைக்கப்படவில்லை.
4 எங்களைச் சுற்றிலுமுள்ள நாடுகள் எங்களை இழிவுப்படுத்தின.
எங்களைச் சூழ வாழ்ந்த ஜனங்கள் எங்களை மனம் நோகச்செய்தனர்.
5 தேவனே, என்றென்றும் எங்களோடு கோபம்கொள்வீரா?
உமது ஆழ்ந்த உணர்ச்சிகள் தொடர்ந்து நெருப்பைப் போல் எரியுமா?
6 தேவனே, உம்மை அறியாத தேசங்களின் மீது உமது கோபத்தைத் திருப்பும்.
உமது நாமத்தை தொழுதுகொள்ளாத தேசங்களின்மீது உமது கோபத்தைத் திருப்பும்.
7 அத்தேசங்கள் யாக்கோபை அழித்தன.
அவர்கள் யாக்கோபின் நாட்டை அழித்தார்கள்.
8 தேவனே, எங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் பாவத்திற்காக எங்களைத் தண்டியாதேயும்.

உமது பணியாட்களைக் கொன்றதற்காக அவர்களைத் தண்டியும்.
11 சிறைப்பட்டவர்களின் துன்பக் குரலை நீர் கேளும்!
தேவனே, உமது மிகுந்த வல்லமையைப் பயன்படுத்தி மரணத்திற்கென்று தேர்ந்து கொண்ட அந்த ஜனங்களைக் காப்பாற்றும்.
12 தேவனே, எங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் வாழும் ஜனங்கள் எங்களுக்குச் செய்ததைப் பார்க்கிலும்
ஏழு மடங்கு அவர்களைத் தண்டியும்.
உம்மை அவமானப்படுத்தியதற்காய் அவர்களைத் தண்டியும்.
13 நாங்கள் உமது ஜனங்கள். நாங்கள் உமது மந்தையின் ஆடுகள்.
நாங்கள் உம்மை என்றென்றும் துதிப்போம்.
தேவனே, என்றென்றும் எப்போதும் நாங்கள் உம்மைத் துதிப்போம்.

祈求上帝拯救
亞薩的詩。
79 上帝啊，
外族人侵佔你的產業，
玷污你的聖殿，
使耶路撒冷淪為廢墟。
2 他們把你僕人的屍體餵飛鳥，
把你忠心子民的屍體給野獸吃，
3 使耶路撒冷周圍血流成河，
屍體無人埋葬。
4 我們成了列國羞辱的對象，
周圍的人都嗤笑、譏諷我們。
5 耶和華啊，你向我們發怒，
要到何時呢？
難道要到永遠嗎？
你的怒火要燒到何時呢？
6 求你把烈怒撒向那些不承認你的列邦，
撒向那些不求告你的列國。
7 因為他們吞噬了雅各，
摧毀了他的家園。
8 求你不要向我們追討我們祖先的罪，
願你快快地憐憫我們，
因為我們已經落入絕望中。
9 拯救我們的上帝啊，
求你為了自己榮耀的名而幫助我們，
為你名的緣故拯救我們，
赦免我們的罪。
10 為何讓列邦說：
「他們的上帝在哪裡？」
求你讓我們親眼看見，

Psalm 79
King James Version
79 O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
2 The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
5 How long, Lord? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
6 Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.
8 O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
10 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;
12 And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.
13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
