為王祈禱
72 所羅門的詩。
1 神啊，求你將判斷的權柄賜給王，將公義賜給王的兒子。
2 他要按公義審判你的民，按公平審判你的困苦人。
3 大山小山，都要因公義使民得享平安。
4 他必為民中的困苦人申冤，拯救窮乏之輩，壓碎那欺壓人的。
5 太陽還存，月亮還在，人要敬畏你，直到萬代。
6 他必降臨，像雨降在已割的草地上，如甘霖滋潤田地。
7 在他的日子義人要發旺，大有平安，好像月亮長存。
8 他要執掌權柄，從這海直到那海，從大河直到地極。
9 住在曠野的必在他面前下拜，他的仇敵必要舔土。
10 他施和海島的王要進貢，示巴和西巴的王要獻禮物。
11 諸王都要叩拜他，萬國都要侍奉他。
12 因為窮乏人呼求的時候，他要搭救；沒有人幫助的困苦人，他也要搭救。
13 他要憐恤貧寒和窮乏的人，拯救窮苦人的性命。
14 他要救贖他們脫離欺壓和強暴，他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴，
15 他們要存活。示巴的金子要奉給他，人要常常為他禱告，終日稱頌他。
16 在地的山頂上五穀必然茂盛[a]，所結的穀實要響動如黎巴嫩的樹林，城裡的人要發旺如地上的草。
17 他的名要存到永遠，要留傳如日之久。人要因他蒙福，萬國要稱他有福。
18 獨行奇事的耶和華以色列的神是應當稱頌的！
19 他榮耀的名也當稱頌，直到永遠！願他的榮耀充滿全地！阿們，阿們。

所罗门的诗。
72 上帝啊，
求你将你的公正赐给王，
将你的公义赐给王的儿子。
2 让他凭公义审判你的子民，
按公平对待那些贫苦的人。
3 愿大山给百姓带来繁荣，
小山带来公义。
4 愿他保护百姓中受苦的人，
拯救贫穷的人，打倒欺压者。
5 只要日月尚存，
愿百姓永远敬畏你。
6 愿他的统治如春雨降在新割过的草场上，
又像甘霖滋润大地。
7 在他统治之下，
愿义人兴旺，国富民强，
如月长存。
8 愿他的疆域横跨洋海，
从幼发拉底河直到地极。
9 愿旷野的居民都来向他下拜，
敌人都扑倒在尘土中。
10 愿他施、示巴和西巴的君王都来纳贡称臣。
11 愿君王都敬拜他，
万国都事奉他。
12 贫穷人呼求，他便搭救；
困苦人无助，他就伸出援手。
13 他怜悯软弱和贫困的人，
拯救贫困人的性命。
14 他要救他们脱离别人的压迫和暴力，
因为他爱惜他们的生命。
15 愿王寿命长久，
愿人们将示巴的金子献给他，
不断为他祷告，
终日称颂他。
16 愿遍地五谷丰登，
山顶上出产丰富，
如黎巴嫩的密林。
愿各城人口稠密如原野的青草。
17 愿他的名流芳百世，如日长存。

A Powerful King for the Poor
Psalm 72
1 Of Solomon.
Give the king Your judgments, O God,
and Your righteousness to the king’s son.
2 May he judge Your people with righteousness,
and Your poor ones with justice.
3 Let the mountains bring shalom to the people,
and the hills righteousness.
4 May he vindicate the poor of the people,
save the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor.
5 Let them fear You while the sun endures,
and while the moon lasts, throughout all generations.
6 May he be like rain falling on a mown field,
like showers watering the ground.
7 Let the righteous flourish in his days.
Let shalom abound till the moon is no more.
8 May he have dominion from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 Let desert dwellers bow before him,
and his enemies lick the dust.
10 May kings of Tarshish and the islands bring tribute,
kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts.
11 So let all kings bow down before him,
and all nations serve him.
12 For he rescues the needy crying for help,
also the poor and the one with no helper.
13 He will take pity on the poor and needy,
and the souls of the needy he will save.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their soul,
for precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live!
May gold from Sheba be given to him.
May he pray for him continually,
and bless him all day.
16 Let there be abundance of grain in the land.
Let it sway on the top of the hills,
let its fruit be like Lebanon,
and let people of the city flourish like grass of the field.
17 May his name endure forever.
May his name increase before the sun,
and may all nations be blessed by him
and call him blessed.
18 Blessed be Adonai Elohim, God of Israel,
who alone does wonders.
19 Blessed be His glorious Name forever.
May all the earth be filled with His glory!
