为君王祈祷
所罗门的诗。
72 上帝啊，
求你将你的公正赐给王，
将你的公义赐给王的儿子。
2 让他凭公义审判你的子民，
按公平对待那些贫苦的人。
3 愿大山给百姓带来繁荣，
小山带来公义。
4 愿他保护百姓中受苦的人，
拯救贫穷的人，打倒欺压者。
5 只要日月尚存，
愿百姓永远敬畏你。
6 愿他的统治如春雨降在新割过的草场上，
又像甘霖滋润大地。
7 在他统治之下，
愿义人兴旺，国富民强，
如月长存。
8 愿他的疆域横跨洋海，
从幼发拉底河直到地极。
9 愿旷野的居民都来向他下拜，
敌人都扑倒在尘土中。
10 愿他施、示巴和西巴的君王都来纳贡称臣。
11 愿君王都敬拜他，
万国都事奉他。
12 贫穷人呼求，他便搭救；
困苦人无助，他就伸出援手。
13 他怜悯软弱和贫困的人，
拯救贫困人的性命。
14 他要救他们脱离别人的压迫和暴力，
因为他爱惜他们的生命。
15 愿王寿命长久，
愿人们将示巴的金子献给他，
不断为他祷告，
终日称颂他。
16 愿遍地五谷丰登，
山顶上出产丰富，
如黎巴嫩的密林。
愿各城人口稠密如原野的青草。
17 愿他的名流芳百世，如日长存。
愿万国都因他而蒙福，
都称颂他。

Den rättfärdige kungen
72 Av Salomo.
Gud, ge kungen din rättvisa,
åt kungasonen din rättfärdighet!
2 Han ska döma ditt folk rättfärdigt,
dina betryckta med rättvisa.
3 Bergen ska lyfta fram frid åt folket
och höjderna rättfärdighet.
4 Han ska försvara de betryckta,
rädda de fattigas barn
och krossa deras förtryckare.
5 De ska frukta dig[a] så länge solen och månen består,
från generation till generation.
6 Han ska bli som ett regn över nyslagna fält,
som en regnskur som vattnar jorden.
7 Den rättfärdige ska blomstra under hans tid
och stor fred råda tills månen inte längre finns.
8 Hans välde ska sträcka sig från hav till hav,
från floden[b] till jordens ändar.
9 De som bor i öknen ska böja sig för honom,
och hans fiender ska slicka stoft.
10 Kungar från Tarshish och avlägsna kuster ska betala skatt,
och kungar från Saba och Seba ska komma med sina gåvor.
11 Alla kungar ska buga sig för honom
och alla folk tjäna honom.
12 Han räddar den fattige som ropar
och den betryckte som inte har någon som hjälper.
13 Han känner medlidande med den svage och behövande
och räddar de fattigas liv.
14 Han befriar dem från våld och förtryck,
för deras blod är dyrbart i hans ögon.
15 Må han leva länge och få guld från Saba.
Må man alltid be för honom
och välsigna honom dagen lång.
16 Låt det bli rika skördar i landet,
så att de vajar på bergstopparna.
Låt dess frukter frodas som Libanons skogar
och åkerns kärvar stå täta som markens gräs.[c]
17 Låt kungens namn bestå för evigt,
leva vidare så länge solen finns till.
Alla folk ska bli välsignade genom honom,
alla folk kommer att kalla honom välsignad.
18 Välsignad vare Herren Gud, Israels Gud,
han som själv gör allt detta underbara!
19 Välsignat vare hans stora namn i evighet!

Psalm 72
21st Century King James Version
72 Give the king Thy judgments, O God, and Thy righteousness unto the king’s son.
2 Then shall he judge Thy people with righteousness, and Thy poor with judgment.
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people and the little hills, by righteousness.
4 He shall judge the poor of the people; he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear Thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; all nations shall serve him.
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also and him that hath no helper.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence, and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given from the gold of Sheba; prayer also shall be made for him continually, and daily shall he be praised.
16 There shall be corn by the handful in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall wave like Lebanon, and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
17 His name shall endure for ever, his name shall be continued as long as the sun, and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone doeth wondrous things.
19 And blessed be His glorious name for ever, and let the whole earth be filled with His glory! Amen and Amen.
