　神是人自幼到老的倚靠

71 耶和華啊！我投靠你，

求你使我永不羞愧。

²求你按著你的公義搭救我，救贖我；

求你留心聽我，拯救我。

³求你作我避難的磐石，使我可以常來投靠；

你已經下令救我，

因為你是我的巖石、我的堅壘。

⁴我的　神啊！求你救我脫離惡人的手，

脫離邪惡和殘暴的人的掌握，

⁵因為你是我的盼望；

主耶和華啊！你是我自幼以來所倚靠的。

⁶我自出母胎就倚賴你，

把我從母腹中領出來的就是你，

我要常常讚美你。

⁷眾人都以我為怪，

但你是我堅固的避難所。

⁸我要滿口讚美你，

我終日頌揚你的榮美。

⁹我年老的時候，求你不要丟棄我；

我氣力衰弱的時候，求你不要離棄我。

¹⁰因為我的仇敵議論我；

那些窺探著要害我性命的，一同商議，

¹¹說：“　神已經離棄了他，

你們追趕他，拿住他吧！

因為沒有人搭救他。”

¹²　神啊！求你不要遠離我；

我的　神啊！求你快來幫助我。

¹³願那些控告我的，

都羞愧滅亡；

願那些謀求害我的，

都蒙羞受辱。

¹⁴至於我，我要常常仰望你，

要多多讚美你。

¹⁵我的口要述說你的公義，

終日講述你的救恩，

儘管我不知道它們的數量。

¹⁶我要來述說主耶和華大能的事；

我要提說你獨有的公義。

¹⁷　神啊！我自幼以來，你就教導我；

直到現在，我還是宣揚你奇妙的作為。

¹⁸　神啊！到我年老髮白的時候，

求你仍不要離棄我，

你曾經行過大事，

Living Bible

71 Lord, you are my refuge! Don’t let me down! ²Save me from my enemies, for you are just! Rescue me! Bend down your ear and listen to my plea and save me. ³Be to me a great protecting Rock, where I am always welcome, safe from all attacks. For you have issued the order to save me. ⁴Rescue me, O God, from these unjust and cruel men. ⁵O Lord, you alone are my hope; I’ve trusted you from childhood. ⁶Yes, you have been with me from birth and have helped me constantly—no wonder I am always praising you! ⁷My success—at which so many stand amazed—is because you are my mighty protector. ⁸All day long I’ll praise and honor you, O God, for all that you have done for me.

⁹And now, in my old age, don’t set me aside. Don’t forsake me now when my strength is failing. ¹⁰My enemies are whispering, ¹¹“God has forsaken him! Now we can get him. There is no one to help him now!” ¹²O God, don’t stay away! Come quickly! Help! ¹³Destroy them! Cover them with failure and disgrace—these enemies of mine.

¹⁴I will keep on expecting you to help me. I praise you more and more. ¹⁵I cannot count the times when you have faithfully rescued me from danger. I will tell everyone how good you are, and of your constant, daily care. ¹⁶I walk in the strength of the Lord God. I tell everyone that you alone are just and good. ¹⁷O God, you have helped me from my earliest childhood—and I have constantly testified to others of the wonderful things you do. ¹⁸And now that I am old and gray, don’t forsake me. Give me time to tell this new generation (and their children too) about all your mighty miracles. ¹⁹Your power and goodness, Lord, reach to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Where is there another God like you? ²⁰You have let me sink down deep in desperate problems. But you will bring me back to life again, up from the depths of the earth. ²¹You will give me greater honor than before and turn again and comfort me.

²²I will praise you with music, telling of your faithfulness to all your promises, O Holy One of Israel. ²³I will shout and sing your praises for redeeming me. ²⁴I will talk to others all day long about your justice and your goodness. For all who tried to hurt me have been disgraced and dishonored.

¹In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;^(B)
    let me never be put to shame.^(C)
²In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
    turn your ear^(D) to me and save me.
³Be my rock of refuge,
    to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
    for you are my rock and my fortress.^(E)
⁴Deliver^(F) me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,^(G)
    from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.^(H)

⁵For you have been my hope,^(I) Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence^(J) since my youth.
⁶From birth^(K) I have relied on you;
    you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.^(L)
    I will ever praise^(M) you.
⁷I have become a sign^(N) to many;
    you are my strong refuge.^(O)
⁸My mouth^(P) is filled with your praise,
    declaring your splendor^(Q) all day long.

⁹Do not cast^(R) me away when I am old;^(S)
    do not forsake^(T) me when my strength is gone.
¹⁰For my enemies^(U) speak against me;

71 In ^(A)You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be put to shame.
²^(B)Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape;
^(C)Incline Your ear to me, and save me.
³^(D)Be my ^[a]strong refuge,
To which I may resort continually;
You have given the ^(E)commandment to save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.

⁴^(F)Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,
Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
⁵For You are ^(G)my hope, O Lord God;
You are my trust from my youth.
⁶^(H)By You I have been ^[b]upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise shall be continually of You.

⁷^(I)I have become as a wonder to many,
But You are my strong refuge.
