A Cry for God to Help Quickly

For the director of music. A psalm of David. ·To help people remember [For remembrance; or For a memorial offering].

70 God, ·come quickly and save [L protect] me.
    Lord, hurry to help me.
Let those who are ·trying to kill me [L seeking my life]
    be ashamed and ·disgraced [scorned; reproached].
Let those who want to hurt me
    ·run away [L turn back] in disgrace.
Let those who ·make fun of me [L say, “Aha, Aha!”]
    ·stop [withdraw] because of their shame.
But let all those who ·worship [L seek] you
    rejoice and be glad.
Let those who love your ·salvation [victory]
    always say, “·Praise the greatness of [Magnify] God.”
I am poor and ·helpless [needy];
    God, hurry to me.
You ·help me and save me [L are my helper and my rescuer].
    Lord, do not ·wait [delay].

Oración en la persecución

Para el director del coro. Salmo de David. Para conmemorar.

70 (A)Oh Dios, apresúrate a librarme;
apresúrate, oh Señor, a socorrerme.
Sean avergonzados y humillados
los que buscan mi vida[a];
sean vueltos atrás y cubiertos de ignominia
los que se complacen en mi mal(B).
Sean vueltos atrás[b] por causa de su vergüenza
los que dicen: ¡Ajá, ajá(C)!

Regocíjense y alégrense en ti todos los que te buscan;
que digan continuamente: ¡Engrandecido sea Dios!
los que aman tu salvación.
Mas yo estoy afligido y necesitado;
oh Dios, ven pronto a mí.
Tú eres mi socorro y mi libertador;
Señor, no te tardes(D).
