求上帝伸张正义
大卫向耶和华唱的诗，与便雅悯人古实有关。
7 我的上帝耶和华啊，我投靠你，
求你拯救我脱离追赶我的人。
2 别让他们像狮子般撕裂我，
无人搭救。
3 我的上帝耶和华啊，
倘若我犯了罪，
手上沾了不义；
4 倘若我恩将仇报，
无故抢夺仇敌，
5 就让仇敌追上我，
践踏我，使我声名扫地。（细拉）
6 耶和华啊，
求你发怒攻击我暴怒的仇敌。
我的上帝啊，
求你来伸张正义。
7 愿万民环绕你，
愿你从高天治理他们，
8 愿你审判万民！
至高的耶和华啊，
我是公义正直的，
求你为我主持公道。
9 鉴察人心肺腑的公义上帝啊，
求你铲除邪恶，扶持义人。
10 上帝是我的盾牌，
祂拯救心地正直的人。
11 上帝是公义的审判官，
天天向恶人发怒。
12 他们若不悔改，祂必磨刀霍霍，
弯弓搭箭，诛灭他们。
13 祂准备好了夺命的兵器，
火箭已在弦上。
14 恶人心怀恶念，
居心叵测，滋生虚谎。
15 他们挖了陷阱，却自陷其中。
16 他们的恶行临到自己头上，
他们的暴力落到自己脑壳上。
17 我要称谢耶和华的公义，
我要歌颂至高者耶和华的名。

King James Version
7 O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 O Lord my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7 So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

Psalm 7
1 Een treurlied van David. Hij zong dit lied voor de Heer toen hij verdrietig was over wat de man uit de familie van Kis uit de stam van Benjamin tegen hem had gezegd.[a]
2 Mijn Heer God, ik vertrouw op U.
Red me van de mensen die mij achtervolgen,
3 zodat ze me niet als een leeuw verscheuren
en wegslepen zonder dat iemand me redt.
4 Het zou iets anders zijn, mijn Heer God,
als ik zelf verkeerd had gedaan.
5 Als ik iemand kwaad had gedaan die mij niets gedaan had. (Maar ik heb zelfs mensen gered die mij bedreigden
zonder dat ze daar een reden voor hadden!)
6 Maar als ik slechte dingen heb gedaan,
laat dan mijn vijanden mij maar achtervolgen en inhalen en vertrappen.
Dan mogen ze mij doden.
7 Kom, Heer, en straf mijn vijanden.
Help me tegen de mensen die me bedreigen.
Zie wat er gebeurt en spreek recht tussen hen en mij!
8+9 Heer, Rechter over de volken,
neem plaats op uw troon.
Laat alle landen vóór U komen
en kom voor mij op, Heer, want ik ben onschuldig.
10 Maak alstublieft een einde aan hun misdaden.
Maar steun de mensen die leven zoals U het wil.
Want U bent een rechtvaardig Rechter.
U weet wat er in de harten van de mensen is.
11 U beschermt mij als een schild.
U redt de mensen die leven zoals U het wil.
12 God is een rechtvaardig Rechter.
Hij straft altijd de mensen die Hem ongehoorzaam zijn.
13 Als iemand niet wil stoppen met de slechte dingen die hij doet,
dan slijpt Hij zijn zwaard, spant Hij zijn boog en legt er een pijl op.
14 Hij richt zijn dodelijke wapens op hem.
Hij schiet zijn pijlen op de vijand af.
15 Iemand die slechte dingen doet, wordt steeds slechter.
Hij strooit leugens en bedrog om zich heen.
16 Hij graaft voor iemand anders een valkuil,
maar valt zelf in het gat dat hij gegraven heeft.
17 Het kwaad dat hij een ander wilde aandoen,
overkomt hemzelf.
De klap die hij een ander wilde geven,
komt op zijn eigen hoofd terecht.
18 Ik prijs de Heer.
Want Hij is voor mij opgekomen omdat Hij rechtvaardig is.
Ik zing voor de Heer, de Allerhoogste God.

Psalm 7
An Ode of David, [probably] in a wild, irregular, enthusiastic strain, which he sang to the Lord concerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite.
1 O Lord my God, in You I take refuge and put my trust; save me from all those who pursue and persecute me, and deliver me,
2 Lest my foe tear my life [from my body] like a lion, dragging me away while there is none to deliver.
3 O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands,
4 If I have paid back with evil him who was at peace with me or without cause have robbed him who was my enemy,
5 Let the enemy pursue my life and take it; yes, let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
6 Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies; and awake [and stir up] for me the justice and vindication [that] You have commanded.
7 Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about You, and return on high over them.
8 The Lord judges the people; judge me, O Lord, and do me justice according to my righteousness [my rightness, justice, and right standing with You] and according to the integrity that is in me.
9 Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the [uncompromisingly] righteous [those upright and in harmony with You]; for You, Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God.(A)
10 My defense and shield depend on God, Who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous Judge, yes, a God Who is indignant every day.
12 If a man does not turn and repent, [God] will whet His sword; He has strung and bent His [huge] bow and made it ready [by treading it with His foot].
13 He has also prepared for him deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.
14 Behold, [the wicked man] conceives iniquity and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.
15 He made a pit and hollowed it out and has fallen into the hole which he made [before the trap was completed].
16 His mischief shall fall back in return upon his own head, and his violence come down [with the loose dirt] upon his own scalp.
17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His rightness and justice, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
