66 Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing of his glorious name! Tell the world how wonderful he is.

How awe-inspiring are your deeds, O God! How great your power! No wonder your enemies surrender! All the earth shall worship you and sing of your glories. Come, see the glorious things God has done. What marvelous miracles happen to his people! He made a dry road through the sea for them. They went across on foot. What excitement and joy there was that day!

Because of his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations. O rebel lands, he will deflate your pride.

Let everyone bless God and sing his praises; for he holds our lives in his hands, and he holds our feet to the path. 10 You have purified us with fire,[a] O Lord, like silver in a crucible. 11 You captured us in your net and laid great burdens on our backs. 12 You sent troops to ride across our broken bodies.[b] We went through fire and flood. But in the end, you brought us into wealth and great abundance.

13 Now I have come to your Temple with burnt offerings to pay my vows. 14 For when I was in trouble, I promised you many offerings. 15 That is why I am bringing you these fat male goats, rams, and calves. The smoke of their sacrifice shall rise before you.

16 Come and hear, all of you who reverence the Lord, and I will tell you what he did for me: 17 For I cried to him for help with praises ready on my tongue. 18 He would not have listened if I had not confessed my sins. 19 But he listened! He heard my prayer! He paid attention to it!

20 Blessed be God, who didn’t turn away when I was praying and didn’t refuse me his kindness and love.

Canten a Dios con alegría

Al director. Canto. Canción.

¡Canten a Dios llenos de alegría,
    habitantes del mundo entero!
Toquen y canten para alabar su glorioso nombre;
    cántenle alabanzas gloriosas.
Díganle a Dios: «Tus obras son imponentes,
    tu poder es tan inmenso que hasta tus enemigos se postran ante ti.
El mundo entero te alaba;
    todos cantan alabanzas a tu nombre». Selah

Vengan y miren las obras de Dios;
    las maravillas que ha hecho les inspiran temor a los seres humanos.

    no permite que caigamos.
10 Dios nos sometió a prueba;
    nos purificó como a la plata.
11 Dios mío, tú dejaste que nos atraparan en una red;
    nos echaste a la espalda una carga pesada.

    junto con ofrendas de carneros,
    toros y machos cabríos. Selah

16 Vengan ustedes, los que le tienen respeto a Dios;
    escuchen, que les contaré lo que él hizo por mí.
17 Con mi boca lo llamé,
    con mi lengua lo alabé.
18 Sabía que si yo hubiera tenido malas intenciones,
    mi Señor no me escucharía;
19 pero me escuchó
    y atendió a mi oración.
20 Alabado sea Dios,
    que no se apartó de mí;
    me escuchó y me mostró su fiel amor.

    Sing the glory of his name;(B)
    make his praise glorious.(C)
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!(D)
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe(E) before you.
All the earth bows down(F) to you;
    they sing praise(G) to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”[a]

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds(H) for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,(I)
    they passed through(J) the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice(K) in him.
He rules forever(L) by his power,
    his eyes watch(M) the nations—
    let not the rebellious(N) rise up against him.

Praise(O) our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives(P)
    and kept our feet from slipping.(Q)
10 For you, God, tested(R) us;
    you refined us like silver.(S)
11 You brought us into prison(T)
    and laid burdens(U) on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;(V)
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.(W)

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings(X)
    and fulfill my vows(Y) to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.(Z)

16 Come and hear,(AA) all you who fear God;
    let me tell(AB) you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;(AC)
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard(AD) my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected(AE) my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!
