Hoffnung für Alle
Du überschüttest uns mit deinen Gaben
65 Ein Lied von David.
2 Dir gebühren Anbetung und Lob,[a]
du Gott, der auf dem Berg Zion wohnt.
Was man dir versprochen hat,
das löst man dort dankbar für dich ein.
3 Du bist es, der Gebete erhört,
darum kommen die Menschen zu dir.
4 Schwere Schuld drückt uns[b] zu Boden;
doch trotz unserer Untreue wirst du uns vergeben.
5 Glücklich ist jeder, den du erwählt hast
und den du zu deinem Heiligtum kommen lässt!
Er darf in den Vorhöfen des Tempels zu Hause sein.
Wir sehnen uns nach all dem Guten,
das du in deinem Haus für uns bereithältst.
6 Gott, auf deine Gerechtigkeit ist Verlass!
Mit ehrfurchtgebietenden Taten antwortest du uns,
wenn wir deine Hilfe brauchen.
Selbst in den entferntesten Winkeln der Erde
setzen die Menschen ihre Hoffnung auf dich.
7 Mit deiner Kraft hast du die Berge gebildet,
deine Macht ist allen sichtbar.
8 Du besänftigst das Brausen der Meere,
die tosenden Wellen lässt du verstummen;
ja, auch die tobenden Völker bringst du zum Schweigen.
9 Alle Bewohner der Erde erschrecken vor deinen Taten,
vom Osten bis zum Westen jubeln die Menschen dir zu.
10 Du sorgst für das ganze Land, machst es reich und fruchtbar.
Du füllst die Bäche und Flüsse mit Wasser,
damit Getreide in Hülle und Fülle wächst.
11 Du befeuchtest das gepflügte Land
und tränkst es mit strömendem Regen.
Das ausgedörrte Erdreich weichst du auf,
und alle Pflanzen lässt du gedeihen.
12 Du schenkst eine reiche und gute Ernte –
sie ist die Krönung des ganzen Jahres.
13 Selbst die Steppe fängt an zu blühen,
von den Hügeln hört man Freudenrufe.
14 Dicht an dicht drängen sich die Herden auf den Weiden,
und mit wogendem Korn sind die Täler bedeckt.
Alles ist erfüllt von Jubel und Gesang.

1 Praise awaits[b] you, our God, in Zion;(A)
to you our vows will be fulfilled.(B)
2 You who answer prayer,
to you all people will come.(C)
3 When we were overwhelmed by sins,(D)
you forgave[c] our transgressions.(E)
4 Blessed are those you choose(F)
and bring near(G) to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,(H)
of your holy temple.
5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,(I)
God our Savior,(J)
the hope of all the ends of the earth(K)
and of the farthest seas,(L)
6 who formed the mountains(M) by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,(N)
7 who stilled the roaring of the seas,(O)
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.(P)
8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.(Q)
9 You care for the land and water it;(R)
you enrich it abundantly.(S)
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,(T)
for so you have ordained it.[d]
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers(U) and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,(V)
and your carts overflow with abundance.(W)
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;(X)
the hills are clothed with gladness.(Y)
13 The meadows are covered with flocks(Z)
and the valleys are mantled with grain;(AA)
they shout for joy and sing.(AB)
