Salmo 62 (61)

Sólo Dios es mi descanso

62 Al maestro del coro. De Yedutún. Salmo de David.
Sólo Dios es mi descanso,
de él viene mi salvación;
sólo él es mi roca, mi salvación,
mi fortaleza, ¡no sucumbiré!
[ Pausa]
Sólo Dios es mi descanso,
de él viene mi esperanza.
Sólo él es mi roca, mi salvación,
mi fortaleza, ¡no sucumbiré!
los que forman su pueblo;
abran ante él su corazón,
pues Dios es nuestro refugio. [ Pausa]
10 Sólo un soplo es el ser humano,
sólo un espejismo son los mortales;
todos puestos en una balanza,
todos juntos, pesan menos que un soplo.
11 No confíen en la violencia,
no se ilusionen con el robo;
si aumenta su riqueza,
no le presten atención.
12 Sólo una cosa ha dicho Dios,
dos cosas yo he oído:
que de Dios es el poder
13 y tuyo el amor, mi Señor;
que tú pagas a cada uno
como merecen sus obras.

A Calm Resolve to Wait for the Salvation of God

To the Chief Musician. To (A)Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

62 Truly (B)my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my [a]defense;
I shall not be greatly (C)moved.[b]

How long will you attack a man?
You shall be slain, all of you,
(D)Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.
They only consult to cast him down from his high position;
They (E)delight in lies;
They bless with their mouth,
But they curse inwardly. Selah

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my [c]expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be [d]moved.
(F)In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.

Trust in Him at all times, you people;
(G)Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

(H)Surely men of low degree are [e]a vapor,
Men of high degree are a lie;
If they are weighed on the scales,
They are altogether lighter than vapor.
10 Do not trust in oppression,
Nor vainly hope in robbery;
(I)If riches increase,
Do not set your heart on them.

11 God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God.
12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For (J)You [f]render to each one according to his work.

God Alone a Refuge from Treachery and Oppression.

For the choir director; [a]according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

62 (A)My soul waits in silence for God only;
From Him (B)is my salvation.
He only is my (C)rock and my salvation,
My (D)stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

How long will you assail a man,
That you may murder him, all of you,
Like a (E)leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position;
They (F)delight in falsehood;
They (G)bless with [b]their mouth,
But inwardly they curse. [c]Selah.

My soul, (H)wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is from Him.
He only is (I)my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
On God my (J)salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my (K)refuge is in God.
(L)Trust in Him at all times, O people;
(M)Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Men of (N)low degree are only (O)vanity and men of rank are a (P)lie;
In the (Q)balances they go up;
They are together lighter than breath.
10 (R)Do not trust in oppression
And do not [d]vainly hope in (S)robbery;
If riches increase, (T)do not set your heart upon them.

11 [e]Once God has (U)spoken;
[f]Twice I have heard this:
That (V)power belongs to God;
12 And lovingkindness (W)is Yours, O Lord,
For You (X)recompense a man according to his work.
