Psalm 61
Kungens bön om välsignelse
1 För sångmästaren, till stränginstrument, av David.
2 Gud, hör mitt rop,
lyssna till min bön!
3 Från jordens ände ropar jag till dig,
ty mitt hjärta försmäktar.
För mig upp på en klippa som är högre än jag.
4 Ty du är min tillflykt,
ett starkt torn mot fienden.
5 Låt mig bo i ditt tält för evigt
och ta min tillflykt under dina vingars skugga. Sela.
6 Du, Gud, hör mina löften,
du ger mig det arv som tillhör dem
som fruktar ditt namn.
7 Du förökar kungens dagar,
hans år skall vara från släkte till släkte.
8 Han skall sitta på sin tron inför Gud för evigt.
Låt din nåd och sanning bevara honom.
9 Då skall jag alltid lovsjunga ditt namn
och infria mina löften dag efter dag.

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;(C)
lead me to the rock(D) that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,(E)
a strong tower against the foe.(F)
4 I long to dwell(G) in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b](H)
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;(I)
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.(J)

61 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
