58 掌權者啊！你們真的講公義嗎（本句或譯：“你們默然不語，真的講公義嗎”）？
你們真的按照正直審判世人嗎？
2 不是的，你們心中策劃奸惡；
你們的手在地上施行強暴（本句原文作“你們在地上稱出你們手中的強暴”）。
3 惡人一出母胎，就走上歧路；
他們一離母腹，就走偏了路，常說謊話。
4 他們的毒氣好像蛇的毒氣，
又像耳朵塞住的聾虺，
5 不聽行法術者的聲音，
就是極靈的咒語，也是無效。
6 神啊！求你敲掉他們口中的牙齒；
耶和華啊！求你打斷少壯獅子的顎骨。
7 願他們像流水般消逝；
願他們射箭的時候，箭頭折斷（本句原文意義不甚明確）。
8 願他們像蝸牛般蠕行消融，
如同婦人流產未見天日的胎兒。
9 你們用荊棘燒火，鍋還未熱，
他要用旋風把燒著的和未燒著的一起颳去。
10 義人看見仇敵遭報就歡喜；
他要在惡人的血中洗自己的腳。
11 因此，人必說：“義人果然有善報；

祈求上帝懲罰惡人
大衛作的詩，交給樂長，調用「休要毀壞」。
58 你們做官長的主持公道嗎？
你們的審判公正嗎？
2 不，你們心中圖謀不義，
你們在地上行兇作惡。
3 惡人生下來就步入歧途，
一出母胎就離開正道，
謊話連篇。
4 他們像噴出毒液的毒蛇，
又像耳聾的眼鏡蛇，
5 任法師的邪術再高超，
也聽不見他的咒語。
6 上帝啊，求你敲碎他們的牙齒；
耶和華啊，
求你拔掉這些猛獅的利齒。
7 願他們如流水逝去，
願他們彎弓搭箭時箭頭折斷。
8 願他們像蝸牛一樣溶為爛泥，
又如流產的胎兒不見天日。
9 刹那間，
荊棘還沒有把鍋燒熱的工夫，
上帝必除滅他們。

2 Rendete veramente giustizia o potenti,
giudicate con rettitudine gli uomini?
3 Voi tramate iniquità con il cuore,
sulla terra le vostre mani preparano violenze.
4 Sono traviati gli empi fin dal seno materno,
si pervertono fin dal grembo gli operatori di menzogna.
5 Sono velenosi come il serpente,
come vipera sorda che si tura le orecchie
6 per non udire la voce dell'incantatore,
del mago che incanta abilmente.
7 Spezzagli, o Dio, i denti nella bocca,
rompi, o Signore, le mascelle dei leoni.
8 Si dissolvano come acqua che si disperde,
come erba calpestata inaridiscano.
9 Passino come lumaca che si discioglie,
come aborto di donna che non vede il sole.
10 Prima che le vostre caldaie sentano i pruni,
vivi li travolga il turbine.
11 Il giusto godrà nel vedere la vendetta,
laverà i piedi nel sangue degli empi.

1 Do you rulers indeed speak justly?(A)
Do you judge people with equity?
2 No, in your heart you devise injustice,(B)
and your hands mete out violence on the earth.(C)
3 Even from birth the wicked go astray;
from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies.
4 Their venom is like the venom of a snake,(D)
like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
5 that will not heed(E) the tune of the charmer,(F)
however skillful the enchanter may be.
6 Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;(G)
Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!(H)
7 Let them vanish like water that flows away;(I)
when they draw the bow, let their arrows fall short.(J)
8 May they be like a slug that melts away as it moves along,(K)
like a stillborn child(L) that never sees the sun.
9 Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns(M)—
whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away.[c](N)
10 The righteous will be glad(O) when they are avenged,(P)
when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked.(Q)
11 Then people will say,
“Surely the righteous still are rewarded;(R)
surely there is a God who judges the earth.”(S)
