57 上帝啊，求你怜悯我，怜悯我，
因为我投靠你。
我要在你翅膀下得到荫庇，
直到灾难结束。
2 我向至高的上帝，
向为我成就一切的上帝呼求。
3 上帝从天上施助、拯救我，
使迫害我的人蒙羞。
上帝必彰显祂的慈爱和信实。
4 我被狮子包围，
躺卧在吃人的野兽中。
他们的牙齿是矛和箭，
舌头是尖刀。
5 上帝啊，
愿人对你的尊崇超过诸天，
愿你的荣耀覆盖大地。
6 我的仇敌设下网罗，
我心中沮丧。
他们在我走的路上挖了陷阱，
自己却掉了进去。（细拉）
7 上帝啊，我心坚定，我心坚定，
我要唱诗赞美你。
8 我的心啊，要振奋起来！
琴瑟啊，弹奏吧！
我要唤醒黎明！

David compuso este himno cuando huyó de Saúl y se escondió en una cueva. Instrucciones para el director del coro: Este himno deberá cantarse con la melodía «No destruyas».
57 ¡Ten compasión de mí,
Dios mío!
¡Ten compasión de mí,
porque en ti busco protección!
¡Quiero que me protejas
bajo la sombra de tus alas
hasta que pase el peligro!
2 Dios altísimo,
te llamo porque siempre me ayudas.
3 Tiéndeme la mano desde el cielo,
porque tu amor es constante.
Tiéndeme la mano, Dios mío,
y sálvame de mis enemigos.
4 Estoy por el suelo,
rodeado de leones;
rodeado de hombres
que parecen bestias.
En vez de dientes,
tienen lanzas y flechas;
en vez de lengua,
tienen una espada afilada.
5 Pero tú, mi Dios,
estás por encima del cielo;
¡eres tan grande
que cubres toda la tierra!
6 Esa gente me tendió una trampa
para hacerme caer en ella.
¡Eso me puso muy triste!
Querían que me cayera en ese hoyo,
pero ellos fueron los que cayeron.
7 Dios mío,
mi corazón está dispuesto
a cantarte himnos.
8 ¡Voy a despertarme!
¡Despertaré al arpa y a la lira!
¡Despertaré al nuevo día!
9 Dios mío,
yo te alabaré entre los pueblos,
te cantaré himnos entre las naciones.
10 Tan grande y constante es tu amor
que llega hasta los cielos.
11 Tú, mi Dios,
sobrepasas los cielos;
¡eres tan grande

57 Ten misericordia de mí, oh Dios, ten misericordia de mí;
Porque en ti ha confiado mi alma,
Y en la sombra de tus alas me ampararé
Hasta que pasen los quebrantos.
2 Clamaré al Dios Altísimo,
Al Dios que me favorece.
3 Él enviará desde los cielos, y me salvará
De la infamia del que me acosa; Selah
Dios enviará su misericordia y su verdad.
4 Mi vida está entre leones;
Estoy echado entre hijos de hombres que vomitan llamas;
Sus dientes son lanzas y saetas,
Y su lengua espada aguda.
5 Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh Dios;
Sobre toda la tierra sea tu gloria.
6 Red han armado a mis pasos;
Se ha abatido mi alma;
Hoyo han cavado delante de mí;
En medio de él han caído ellos mismos. Selah

Cantaré, y trovaré salmos.
8 Despierta, alma mía; despierta, salterio y arpa;
Me levantaré de mañana.

10 Porque grande es hasta los cielos tu misericordia,
Y hasta las nubes tu verdad.
11 Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh Dios;

57 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.(C)
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings(D)
until the disaster has passed.(E)
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.(F)
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,(G)
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—[c](H)
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.(I)
4 I am in the midst of lions;(J)
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.(K)
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.(L)
6 They spread a net for my feet(M)—
I was bowed down(N) in distress.
They dug a pit(O) in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.(P)
7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;(Q)
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!

I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
