56 神啊！求你恩待我，因为人要践踏我；
他们终日攻击我，迫害我。
2 我的仇敌终日践踏我，
攻击我的人很多。
3 至高者（“至高者”原文放在第2节末，在那里或译：“因逞骄傲攻击我的人很多”）啊！我惧怕的时候，
就要倚靠你。
4 靠着 神，我要赞美他的话；
我倚靠 神，就必不惧怕，
人能把我怎么样呢？
5 他们终日歪曲我的话，
常常设计谋陷害我。
6 他们聚集在一起，埋伏着，
窥探我的脚踪，
等候要害我的性命。
7 愿他们因罪孽的缘故不能逃脱；
神啊！愿你在怒中使这些人败落。
8 我多次流离，你都数算；
你把我的眼泪装在你的皮袋里。
这不都记在你的册子上吗？
9 我呼求你的时候，
我的仇敌就都转身退后；
因此我知道 神是帮助我的。
10 靠着 神，我要赞美他的话；
靠着耶和华，我要赞美他的话。
11 我倚靠 神，就必不惧怕，
人能把我怎么样呢？
12 神啊！我要偿还我向你所许的愿，
我要把感谢祭献给你。
13 因为你救了我的性命脱离死亡；

1 Be merciful to me,(A) my God,
for my enemies are in hot pursuit;(B)
all day long they press their attack.(C)
2 My adversaries pursue me all day long;(D)
in their pride many are attacking me.(E)
3 When I am afraid,(F) I put my trust in you.(G)
4 In God, whose word I praise—(H)
in God I trust and am not afraid.(I)
What can mere mortals do to me?(J)
5 All day long they twist my words;(K)
all their schemes are for my ruin.
6 They conspire,(L) they lurk,
they watch my steps,(M)
hoping to take my life.(N)
7 Because of their wickedness do not[c] let them escape;(O)
in your anger, God, bring the nations down.(P)
8 Record my misery;
list my tears on your scroll[d](Q)—
are they not in your record?(R)
9 Then my enemies will turn back(S)
when I call for help.(T)
By this I will know that God is for me.(U)
10 In God, whose word I praise,
in the Lord, whose word I praise—
11 in God I trust and am not afraid.

56 Ki mëshirë për mua, o Perëndi, sepse njerëzit do të donin të më përpijnë; më luftojnë vazhdimisht me sulmet e tyre.
2 Armiqtë e mi do të donin vazhdimisht të më përpijnë. Po, janë të shumtë ata që më luftojnë në kryelartësinë e tyre.
3 Kur të kem frikë, do të mbështetem te ti.
4 Me ndihmën e Perëndisë do të kremtoj fjalën e tij; kam vënë besimin tim te Perëndia, nuk do të kem frikë. Çfarë mund të më bëjë njeriu?
5 Ata i shtrëmbërojnë vazhdimisht fjalët e mia; gjithë mendimet e tyre synojnë të më bëjnë të keq.

11 Kam vënë besimin tim te Perëndia, nuk do të kem frikë. Çfarë mund të më bëjë njeriu?

56 Be (B)merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up;
Fighting all day he oppresses me.
2 My enemies would (C)hound me all day,
For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.
3 Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You.
4 In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
(D)I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?
5 All day they twist my words;
All their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather together,
They hide, they mark my steps,
When they lie in wait for my life.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity?
In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
(E)Are they not in Your book?
9 When I cry out to You,
Then my enemies will turn back;
This I know, because (F)God is for me.
10 In God (I will praise His word),
In the Lord (I will praise His word),
11 In God I have put my trust;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
12 Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God;
I will render praises to You,
