大衛的訓誨詩，交給詩班長，是在以東人多益來告訴掃羅：“大衛到了亞希米勒家”以後作的。（本篇細字標題在《馬索拉文本》為52:1~2）
52 勇士啊！你為甚麼以作惡自誇呢？
神的慈愛是常存的。
2 你圖謀毀滅，
你的舌頭鋒利像剃刀，
常弄詭詐。
3 你喜愛作惡過於行善，
喜愛撒謊過於說實話。（細拉）
4 你喜愛你詭詐的舌頭，
所說一切毀滅人的話。
5 神必把你永遠拆毀；
他必把你挪去，把你從帳棚中揪出來，
把你從活人之地連根拔起。（細拉）
6 義人必看見而懼怕；
他們必譏笑他，說：
7 “看哪！這就是那不以 神為自己保障的人，
他只倚靠自己豐盛的財富，
以毀滅別人來加強自己的力量。”
8 至於我，我就像神殿中茂盛的橄欖樹一樣；
我倚靠 神的慈愛，直到永永遠遠。
9 我要永遠稱謝你，因為你行了這事；
我必在你聖民的面前，宣揚（“宣揚”原文作“仰望”）你的名，
因你的名是美好的。

52 （ 以 東 人 多 益 來 告 訴 掃 羅 說 ： 大 衛 到 了 亞 希 米 勒 家 。 那 時 ， 大 衛 作 這 訓 誨 詩 ， 交 與 伶 長 。 ） 勇 士 啊 ， 你 為 何 以 作 惡 自 誇 ？ 神 的 慈 愛 是 常 存 的 。
2 你 的 舌 頭 邪 惡 詭 詐 ， 好 像 剃 頭 刀 ， 快 利 傷 人 。
3 你 愛 惡 勝 似 愛 善 ， 又 愛 說 謊 ， 不 愛 說 公 義 。 （ 細 拉 ）
4 詭 詐 的 舌 頭 啊 ， 你 愛 說 一 切 毀 滅 的 話 ！
5 神 也 要 毀 滅 你 ， 直 到 永 遠 ； 他 要 把 你 拿 去 ， 從 你 的 帳 棚 中 抽 出 ， 從 活 人 之 地 將 你 拔 出 。 （ 細 拉 ）
6 義 人 要 看 見 而 懼 怕 ， 並 要 笑 他 ，
7 說 ： 看 哪 ， 這 就 是 那 不 以 神 為 他 力 量 的 人 ， 只 倚 仗 他 豐 富 的 財 物 ， 在 邪 惡 上 堅 立 自 己 。
8 至 於 我 ， 就 像 神 殿 中 的 青 橄 欖 樹 ； 我 永 永 遠 遠 倚 靠 神 的 慈 愛 。
9 我 要 稱 謝 你 ， 直 到 永 遠 ， 因 為 你 行 了 這 事 。 我 也 要 在 你 聖 民 面 前 仰 望 你 的 名 ； 這 名 本 為 美 好 。

For the director of music. A maskil[b] of David. When Doeg the Edomite(A) had gone to Saul and told him: “David has gone to the house of Ahimelek.”
1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero?
Why do you boast(B) all day long,(C)
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
2 You who practice deceit,(D)
your tongue plots destruction;(E)
it is like a sharpened razor.(F)
3 You love evil(G) rather than good,
falsehood(H) rather than speaking the truth.[c]
4 You love every harmful word,
you deceitful tongue!(I)
5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin:
He will snatch you up and pluck(J) you from your tent;
he will uproot(K) you from the land of the living.(L)
6 The righteous will see and fear;
they will laugh(M) at you, saying,
7 “Here now is the man
who did not make God his stronghold(N)
but trusted in his great wealth(O)
and grew strong by destroying others!”
