祈求上帝赦免
大卫与拔示芭通奸后，先知拿单来找他，他作了此诗，交给乐长。
51 上帝啊，求你怜悯我，
因为你的慈爱永不改变；
求你除去我的过犯，
因为你有无限的怜悯。
2 求你洗净我的罪过，
清除我的罪恶。
3 我知道自己的过犯，
我的罪恶一直萦绕眼前。
4 我犯罪得罪了你，
唯独得罪了你，
做了你看为邪恶的事，
所以你对我的责备是正当的，
你对我的审判是公正的。
5 我生来就是个罪人，
在母腹成胎的时候就有罪。
6 你所喜爱的是内心的诚实，
求你使我内心有智慧。
7 求你用牛膝草洁净我的罪，
使我干净；
求你洗净我，使我比雪更白。
8 求你让我听到欢喜快乐的声音，
让我这被你压碎的骨头可以欢跳。
9 求你饶恕我的罪过，
除去我一切的罪恶。
10 上帝啊，
求你为我造一颗纯洁的心，
使我里面重新有正直的灵。
11 不要丢弃我，
使我离开你，
也不要从我身上收回你的圣灵。
12 求你让我重新享受蒙你拯救的喜乐，
赐我一颗乐意顺服你的心灵。
13 这样，我就能把你的法则教导罪人，
使他们归向你。
14 拯救我的上帝啊，
求你赦免我杀人流血的罪，
使我颂扬你的公义。
15 主啊，求你开我的口，
我要向你发出赞美。
16 你不喜欢祭物，
否则我会献上，
你也不喜爱燔祭。
17 你所要的祭是忧伤的心灵。
上帝啊，你必不轻看忧伤痛悔的心。
18 求你恩待锡安，重建耶路撒冷的城墙。
19 那时，你必悦纳诚心献上的祭物、燔祭和全牲燔祭，

For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.(A)
1 Have mercy(B) on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;(C)
according to your great compassion(D)
blot out(E) my transgressions.(F)
2 Wash away(G) all my iniquity
and cleanse(H) me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.(I)
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned(J)
and done what is evil in your sight;(K)
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.(L)
5 Surely I was sinful(M) at birth,(N)
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom(O) in that secret place.(P)
7 Cleanse(Q) me with hyssop,(R) and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.(S)
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;(T)
let the bones(U) you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins(V)
and blot out(W) all my iniquity.
10 Create in me a pure heart,(X) O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.(Y)
11 Do not cast me(Z) from your presence(AA)
or take your Holy Spirit(AB) from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation(AC)
and grant me a willing spirit,(AD) to sustain me.(AE)
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,(AF)
so that sinners(AG) will turn back to you.(AH)
14 Deliver me(AI) from the guilt of bloodshed,(AJ) O God,
you who are God my Savior,(AK)
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.(AL)
15 Open my lips, Lord,(AM)
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice,(AN) or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice,(AO) O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart(AP)
you, God, will not despise.

51 För körledaren. En psalm av David 2 när profeten Natan kom till honom efter att han varit tillsammans med Batseba.
3 Förbarma dig, Gud, i din nåd,
ta bort mina överträdelser i din stora barmhärtighet.
4 Rena mig från min överträdelse,
gör mig ren från all min synd.
5 Jag känner mina överträdelser,
min synd är alltid inför mig.
6 Det är mot dig, och endast mot dig, jag har syndat
och gjort det som är ont i dina ögon.
Du visar dig vara rättfärdig när du talar
och rättvis när du dömer.
7 Jag är född i synd,
i synd formades jag i min mors livmoder.
8 Du har behag till sanning i mitt inre,
så lär mig vishet i mitt innersta[a].
9 Rena mig med isop, så att jag blir ren igen.
Tvätta mig, så att jag blir vitare än snö.
10 Låt mig få höra glädje och fröjd,
låt den[b] du har krossat få jubla.
11 Göm ditt ansikte för mina synder,
och ta bort alla mina överträdelser.
12 Skapa[c] i mig ett rent hjärta, Gud,
ge mig på nytt ett stadigt sinne.
13 Förskjut mig inte ur din närhet
och ta inte din heliga Ande ifrån mig.
14 Låt mig på nytt få glädjas över din frälsning,
stöd mig och ge mig ett villigt sinne.
15 Då ska jag undervisa syndare om dina vägar,
och de ska vända om till dig.
16 Rädda mig från blodskuld, Gud, min frälsnings Gud,
Då ska jag lovsjunga din rättfärdighet.
17 Herre, öppna min mun,
jag vill sjunga ditt lov.
18 Slaktoffer behagar dig inte
om jag skulle ge dig sådana,
och brännoffer bryr du dig inte om.
19 Offret till Gud är en förkrossad ande,
och den som i sitt inre är förkrossad och bedrövad
föraktar du inte, Gud.
20 Låt det i din godhet gå väl för Sion,
och bygg upp Jerusalems murar.
21 Då kommer du att glädjas över rättfärdiga offer,
brännoffer och heloffer,
och tjurar ska offras på ditt altare.

51 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
