求上帝保护
大卫的诗，交给乐长，管乐器伴奏。
5 耶和华啊，求你听我的祷告，
顾念我的哀叹。
2 我的王，我的上帝啊！
求你垂听我的呼求，
因为我只向你祈祷。
3 耶和华啊！早晨你听我的祷告。
早晨我到你面前祈求，
切切等候。
4 你是厌恶邪恶的上帝，
恶人在你面前无立足之地。
5 狂妄之人不能站在你面前，
你憎恶一切作恶之人。
6 说谎的，你毁灭；
凶残诡诈的，你痛恨。
7 因为你有无限的慈爱，
我要进入你的居所，
我要满怀敬畏地向你的圣殿下拜。
8 耶和华啊，我的仇敌众多，
求你以公义引领我，
使我走你安排的正路。
9 他们口中毫无实话，
心里充满恶毒，
喉咙是敞开的坟墓，
舌头上尽是诡诈。
10 上帝啊，
求你定他们的罪，
让他们作茧自缚。
他们背叛你，罪恶深重，
求你把他们赶走。
11 愿投靠你的人欢歌不断。
求你庇护他们，
让爱你的人因你而喜乐。
12 耶和华啊，你必赐福给义人，
你的恩惠像盾牌四面保护他们。

A Prayer for Guidance
To the Chief Musician. With [a]flutes. A Psalm of David.
5 Give (A)ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my [b]meditation.
2 Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
(B)In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
Nor shall evil [c]dwell with You.
5 The (C)boastful shall not (D)stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the (E)bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward [d]Your holy temple.
8 (F)Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.
9 For there is no [e]faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
(G)Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue.
10 Pronounce them guilty, O God!
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
For they have rebelled against You.
11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You [f]defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

1 Een lied van David. Voor de leider van het koor. Begeleiden met een fluit.
2 Heer, luister alstublieft naar mij!
Luister naar mijn gedachten.
3 U bent mijn Koning en mijn God.
Daarom roep ik U om hulp.
Luister alstublieft naar mij!
4 Heer, 's morgens hoort U mij al roepen. 's Morgens vertel ik U wat ik op mijn hart heb.
Dan wacht ik op uw antwoord.
5 U houdt niet van ongehoorzaamheid.
Geen slecht mens zal bij U kunnen wonen.
6 Dwazen kunnen niet blijven bestaan voor de blik van uw ogen.
U haat het als mensen slechte dingen doen.
7 U vernietigt alle leugenaars.
U walgt van moordenaars en bedriegers.
8 Maar dankzij uw grote liefde mag ík uw huis binnen gaan.
Vol ontzag zal ik mij voor U neerbuigen in uw heiligdom.
9 Heer, leid mij als mijn vijanden op mij loeren.
Leid mij zoals U het wil.
Wilt U voor mij de weg vrijmaken.
10 Van wat mijn vijanden zeggen, is geen woord te vertrouwen.
Ze zijn door en door slecht.
Hun woorden brengen alleen maar dood en ellende.
Ze gebruiken mooie woorden om hun misdadige plannen te verbergen.
11 Spreek recht over hen, God, en verklaar hen schuldig!
Laat hen voor straf struikelen over hun eigen plannen!
Jaag hen weg vanwege al hun misdaden!
Want ze willen U niet gehoorzamen.
12 Maar de mensen die op U vertrouwen, kunnen blij zijn.
Ze zullen altijd jubelen, omdat U hen beschermt.
Alle mensen die van U houden, zullen juichen.
13 Heer, U bent goed voor de mensen die U gehoorzamen.
Omdat U van hen houdt, beschermt U hen als een schild.

1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)
