　神同在是最好的保障

可拉子孙的歌，交给诗班长，用女高调。

46 　神是我们的避难所，是我们的力量，

是我们在患难中随时都可得到的帮助。

2 因此，地虽然震动，

群山虽然崩塌入海洋的深处，

我们也不害怕。

3 虽然海浪翻腾澎湃，

虽然山岳因波涛汹涌摇动，

我们也不害怕。（细拉）

4 有一条河，它众多的支流使　神的城充满快乐；

这城就是至高者居住的圣所。

5 　神在城中，城必不动摇；

天一亮，　神必帮助它。

6 列邦喧嚷，万国动摇；

　神一发声，地就融化。

7 万军之耶和华与我们同在；

雅各的　神是我们的保障。（细拉）

8 你们都来，看耶和华的作为，

看他怎样使地荒凉。

9 他使战争止息，直到地极；

他把弓折毁，把矛砍断，

把战车用火焚烧。

10 你们要住手，要知道我是　神；

我要在列国中被尊崇，我要在全地上被尊崇。

46 God is our (A)refuge and strength,

2 Therefore we will (D)not fear, though (E)the earth should change
And though (F)the mountains shake into the heart of the [d]sea;
3 Though its (G)waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. [e]Selah.

4 There is a (H)river whose streams make glad the (I)city of God,
The holy (J)dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is (K)in the midst of her, she will not be shaken;
God will (L)help her [f]when morning dawns.
6 The [g]nations (M)roar, the kingdoms shake;
He (N)gives His voice, the earth (O)melts.
7 Yahweh of hosts (P)is with us;
The God of Jacob is (Q)our stronghold. Selah.

8 Come, (R)behold the works of Yahweh,
[h]Who has appointed (S)desolations in the earth.
9 He (T)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He (U)breaks the bow and cuts up the spear;

2 God is our refuge and our strength,
    an ever-present help in distress.(A)
3 [c]Thus we do not fear, though earth be shaken
    and mountains quake to the depths of the sea,
4 Though its waters rage and foam
    and mountains totter at its surging.(B)

5 [d]Streams of the river gladden the city of God,
    the holy dwelling of the Most High.(C)
6 God is in its midst; it shall not be shaken;
    God will help it at break of day.(D)
7 Though nations rage and kingdoms totter,

  1. Psalm 46 A song of confidence in God’s protection of Zion with close parallels to Ps 48. The dominant note in Ps 46 is sounded by the refrain, The Lord of hosts is with us (Ps 46:8, 12). The first strophe (Ps 46:2–4) sings of the security of God’s presence even in utter chaos; the second (Ps 46:5–8), of divine protection of the city from its enemies; the third (Ps 46:9–11), of God’s imposition of imperial peace.
  2. 46:1 Alamoth: the melody of the Psalm, now lost.
  3. 46:3–4 Figurative ancient Near Eastern language to describe social and political upheavals.
  4. 46:5 Jerusalem is not situated on a river. This description derives from mythological descriptions of the divine abode and symbolizes the divine presence as the source of all life (cf. Is 33:21; Ez 47:1–12; Jl 4:18; Zec 14:8; Rev 22:1–2).
  5. 46:8 The first line of the refrain is similar in structure and meaning to Isaiah’s name for the royal child, Emmanuel, With us is God (Is 7:14; 8:8, 10).
