2 Gud er vor Tilflugt og Styrke, en Hjælp i Angster, prøvet til fulde 3 Derfor frygter vi ikke, om Jorden end bølger og Bjergene styrter i Havenes Skød, 4 om end deres Vande bruser og syder og Bjergene skælver ved deres Vælde. - Sela.
5 En Flod og dens Bække glæder Guds Stad, den Højeste har helliget sin Bolig; 6 i den er Gud, den rokkes ikke, Gud bringer den Hjælp, når Morgen gryr. 7 Folkene larmed, Rigerne vakled, han løfted Røsten, så Jorden skjalv, 8 Hærskarers Herre er med os, Jakobs Gud er vor faste Borg. - Sela.
9 Kom hid og se på Herrens Værk, han har udført frygtelige Ting på Jord. 10 Han gør Ende på Krig til Jordens Grænser, han splintrer Buen, sønderbryder Spydene, Skjoldene tænder han i Brand. 11 Hold inde og kend, at jeg er Gud, ophøjet blandt Folkene, ophøjet på Jorden! 12 Hærskarers Herre er med os, Jakobs Gud er vor faste Borg. - Sela.

Gud er midt iblandt sit folk
46 Til korlederen: En sang af Koras slægt. Synges af sopranstemmer.[a]
2 Gud er vor tilflugt og styrke,
parat til at hjælpe i svære tider.
3 Derfor behøver vi ikke at frygte,
om jorden end ryster, og bjergene styrter i havet,
4 om end havene larmer og raser,
om end bjergene skælver ved bølgernes brusen.
5 Kanaler med vand bringer glæde til byen,
hvor Gud, den Almægtige, bor.
6 Den by går aldrig til grunde, for Guds bolig er der.
Han redder den, når morgenen gryr.
7 Nationer går i krig, og riger styrter sammen,
men når Gud taler, skælver hele jorden.
8 Den almægtige Gud er med os.
Israels Gud er vores redning.
9 Kom og se, hvad Herren gør,
når han kæmper imod sine fjender.
10 Han gør ende på alle krige i verden,
han brækker buen og splintrer spyddet,
alle skjolde bliver brændt.
11 „Stop,” råber han. „Accepter, at jeg er Gud!
Alle folk på jorden skal ære mig.”
12 Herren, den Almægtige, er midt iblandt os.
Israels Gud er vores tilflugt.

1 God is our refuge(A) and strength,(B)
an ever-present(C) help(D) in trouble.(E)
2 Therefore we will not fear,(F) though the earth give way(G)
and the mountains fall(H) into the heart of the sea,(I)
3 though its waters roar(J) and foam(K)
and the mountains quake(L) with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river(M) whose streams(N) make glad the city of God,(O)
the holy place where the Most High(P) dwells.(Q)
5 God is within her,(R) she will not fall;(S)
God will help(T) her at break of day.
6 Nations(U) are in uproar,(V) kingdoms(W) fall;
he lifts his voice,(X) the earth melts.(Y)
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,(AD)
the desolations(AE) he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars(AF) cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(AG) and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[d] with fire.(AH)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;(AI)
I will be exalted(AJ) among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
