43 　神啊！求你为我伸冤，

为我的案件向不敬虔的国申辩；

求你救我脱离诡诈和不义的人；

²因为你是赐我力量的　神。

你为甚么弃绝我呢？

我为甚么因仇敌的压迫徘徊悲哀呢？

³求你发出你的亮光和真理，好引导我，

带我到你的圣山，

到你的居所。

⁴我就走到　神的祭坛前，

到　神、我极大的喜乐那里。

　神啊！我的　神啊！

我要弹琴称赞你。

⁵我的心哪！你为甚么沮丧呢？

为甚么在我里面不安呢？

应当等候　神；

因为我还要称赞他，

他是我面前的救助、我的　神。

Prayer for Deliverance.

43 ^(A)Vindicate me, O God, and ^(B)plead my case against an ungodly nation;
^[a]O deliver me from ^(C)the deceitful and unjust man!
²For You are the ^(D)God of my strength; why have You ^(E)rejected me?
Why do I go ^(F)mourning ^[b]because of the oppression of the enemy?

³O send out Your ^(G)light and Your truth, let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your ^(H)holy hill
And to Your ^(I)dwelling places.
⁴Then I will go to ^(J)the altar of God,
To God ^[c]my exceeding ^(K)joy;
And upon the ^(L)lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God.

⁵^(M)Why are you ^[d]in despair, O my soul?
And why are you disturbed within me?
^[e]Hope in God, for I shall ^[f]again praise Him,
The ^[g]help of my countenance and my God.

43 My God, when you hand down your decision, let it be in my favor.
    Stand up for me against an unfaithful nation.
    Save me from those lying and sinful people.
²You are God, my place of safety.
    Why have you turned your back on me?
Why must I go around in sorrow?
    Why am I beaten down by my enemies?
³Send me your light and your faithful care.
    Let them lead me.
Let them bring me back to your holy mountain,
    to the place where you live.
⁴Then I will go to the altar of God.
    I will go to God. He is my joy and my delight.
God, you are my God.
    I will praise you by playing the lyre.

⁵My spirit, why are you so sad?
    Why are you so upset deep down inside me?
Put your hope in God.
    Once again I will have reason to praise him.
    He is my Savior and my God.
