流亡异乡者的祷告

43 上帝啊，
求你为我伸张正义，
在不虔敬的人面前为我辩护，
救我脱离诡诈邪恶的人。
²你是保护我的上帝，
你为何丢弃我？
为何让我受仇敌的攻击，
使我哀伤不已呢？
³求你以光明和真理引导我，
领我到你的圣山，到你的居所。
⁴我要到上帝的祭坛前，
到赐我喜乐的上帝面前。
上帝啊，我的上帝，
我要弹琴赞美你。
⁵我的心啊！
你为何沮丧？为何烦躁？
要仰望上帝，
因为我还要赞美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。

Psalm 43

¹Declare me innocent, O God!
    Defend me against these ungodly people.
    Rescue me from these unjust liars.
²For you are God, my only safe haven.
    Why have you tossed me aside?
Why must I wander around in grief,
    oppressed by my enemies?
³Send out your light and your truth;
    let them guide me.
Let them lead me to your holy mountain,
    to the place where you live.
⁴There I will go to the altar of God,
    to God—the source of all my joy.
I will praise you with my harp,
    O God, my God!

⁵Why am I discouraged?
    Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
    I will praise him again—
    my Savior and my God!

Prayer to God in Time of Trouble

43 Vindicate ^(A)me, O God,
And ^(B)plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
²For You are the God of my strength;
Why do You cast me off?
^(C)Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

³^(D)Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to ^(E)Your holy hill
And to Your ^[a]tabernacle.
⁴Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God my exceeding joy;
And on the harp I will praise You,
O God, my God.

⁵^(F)Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The ^[b]help of my countenance and my God.
