在病患中祈求康复

大卫的诗，交给诗班长。

41 关怀穷乏人的有福了；

在遭难的日子，耶和华必救他。

²耶和华要保护他，使他生存；

他在地上要称为有福的；

求你不要照着他敌人的心愿把他交给他们。

³他患病在床，耶和华必扶持他；

在病榻中你使他恢复健康。

⁴至于我，我曾说：“耶和华啊！求你恩待我；

求你医治我，因为我得罪了你。”

⁵我的仇敌用恶毒的话中伤我，说：

“他甚么时候死呢？他的名字甚么时候消灭呢？”

⁶即使他来看我，说的也是假话；

他把奸诈积存在心里，

走到外面才说出来。

⁷所有憎恨我的人，都交头接耳地议论我；

他们设恶计要害我，说：

⁸“有恶疾临到他身上；

他既然躺下了，就必一病不起。”

⁹连我信任的密友，

就是那吃我饭的，

也用脚踢我。

¹⁰至于你，耶和华啊！求你恩待我，

使我康复起来，好报复他们。

¹¹因此我就知道你喜爱我，

因为我的仇敌不能向我欢呼夸胜。

¹²至于我，你因为我正直，就扶持我；

你使我永远站在你面前。

¹³耶和华以色列的　神是应当称颂的，

从永远直到永远。

Psalm 41

Victory in Spite of Betrayal

For the choir director. A Davidic psalm.

¹Happy is one who cares for the poor;
the Lord will save him in a day of adversity.^(A)
²The Lord will keep him and preserve him;
he will be blessed in the land.^(B)
You will not give him over to the desire of his enemies.^(C)
³The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed;
You will heal him on the bed where he lies.^(D)

⁴I said, “Lord, be gracious to me;
heal me, for I have sinned against You.”^(E)
⁵My enemies speak maliciously about me:
“When will he die and be forgotten?”^(F)
⁶When one of them comes to visit, he speaks deceitfully;
he stores up evil in his heart;
he goes out and talks.^(G)
⁷All who hate me whisper together about me;
they plan to harm me.^(H)
⁸“Lethal poison has been poured into him,
and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”^(I)
⁹Even my friend^[a] in whom I trusted,
one who ate my bread,
has raised his heel against me.^(J)

¹⁰But You, Lord, be gracious to me and raise me up;
then I will repay them.^(K)
¹¹By this I know that You delight in me:^(L)
my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.^(M)
¹²You supported me because of my integrity^(N)
and set me in Your presence forever.^(O)

¹³May Yahweh, the God of Israel, be praised
from everlasting to everlasting.

²⁽¹⁾Blessed is he that considereth the helpless; Hashem will deliver him in time of ra’ah (evil, trouble).

³⁽²⁾Hashem will be shomer over him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed in ha’aretz; and Thou wilt not surrender him unto the desire of his enemies.

⁴⁽³⁾Hashem will support him upon the sickbed; in his illness, all his bedridden languishing Thou wilt change (i.e., toward recovery).

⁵⁽⁴⁾I said, Hashem, channeni (be gracious unto me); heal my nefesh; for I have sinned against Thee.

⁶⁽⁵⁾Mine enemies speak rah (evil) of me: When will he die, and shmo (his name) perish?

⁷⁽⁶⁾And if one cometh to see me, he speaketh falsely; his lev gathereth wickedness to itself; when he goeth lachutz (outside, around) he telleth it.

⁸⁽⁷⁾All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt.

⁹⁽⁸⁾A thing of beliya’al (a wicked fate, i.e., a terminal illness), say they, cleaveth fast unto him, that when he lieth he shall rise up no more.

¹⁰⁽⁹⁾Yea, mine own ish shalom (familiar friend, close friend), in whom I trusted, which did eat of my lechem, hath lifted up his heel (i.e., deceitfully showed enmity) against me [see Yn 13:18].

¹¹⁽¹⁰⁾But Thou, O Hashem, channeni (be gracious, merciful unto me), and raise me up, that I may repay them.

¹²⁽¹¹⁾By this I know that Thou favorest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

¹³⁽¹²⁾And as for me, Thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before Thy face l’olam (forever).
