受苦者的祈求
大卫求上帝眷顾的诗。
38 耶和华啊，
求你不要在发怒时惩罚我，
不要在烈怒下管教我。
2 因为你的箭射穿我，
你的手击打我。
3 你的怒气使我浑身是病，
我的罪恶使我骨头朽烂。
4 我的罪恶滔天，使我不堪其重。
5 我因愚昧而伤口溃烂流脓。
6 我疼得弯腰驼背，
终日哀伤。
7 我的腰灼痛难忍，
我浑身是病。
8 我精疲力尽，彻底崩溃；
我心中悲伤，呻吟不止。
9 主啊，你知道我的渴望，
听见了我的叹息。
10 我的心砰砰直跳，
气力衰竭，
眼睛黯淡无光。
11 因我的疾病，朋友同伴回避我，
亲人远离我。
12 谋害我的人设下陷阱，
想害我的人威胁我，
整天图谋奸计。
13 但我像听不见的聋子，
无法说话的哑巴。
14 我就像一个不能听、不能辩的人。
15 耶和华啊，我等候你；
主，我的上帝啊，你必应允我。
16 我曾求告你，
别让他们幸灾乐祸，
在我失脚时沾沾自喜。
17 我快要跌倒，
我的痛苦无休无止。
18 我要承认我的罪过，
罪恶使我心里惴惴不安。
19 我的仇敌势力强大，
无故恨我的人不计其数。
20 我追求良善，
他们就恨我，以恶报善。
21 耶和华啊，求你不要撇弃我！
我的上帝啊，求你不要远离我！
22 拯救我的主啊，
求你快来帮助我！

Zermürbt von Krankheit und Schuld
38 Ein Lied von David, um sich bei Gott in Erinnerung zu bringen.
2 Herr, du lässt mich deinen Zorn spüren.
Ich flehe dich an: Strafe mich nicht länger!
3 Deine Pfeile haben sich in mich hineingebohrt,
deine Hand drückt mich nieder.
4 Weil ich unter deinem Strafgericht leide,
habe ich keine heile Stelle mehr am Körper.
Weil mich die Sünde anklagt, sind alle meine Glieder krank.
5 Meine Schuld ist mir über den Kopf gewachsen.
Wie schwer ist diese Last! Ich breche unter ihr zusammen.
6 Wie dumm war ich, dich zu vergessen!
Das habe ich nun davon: Meine Wunden eitern und stinken!
7 Gekrümmt und von Leid zermürbt
schleppe ich mich in tiefer Trauer durch den Tag.
8 Von Fieber bin ich geschüttelt,
die Haut ist mit Geschwüren übersät.
9 Zerschlagen liege ich da, am Ende meiner Kraft.
Vor Verzweiflung kann ich nur noch stöhnen.
10 Herr, du kennst meine Sehnsucht,
du hörst mein Seufzen!
11 Mein Herz rast, ich bin völlig erschöpft,
und meine Augen versagen mir den Dienst.
12 Meine Freunde und Nachbarn ziehen sich zurück
wegen des Unglücks, das über mich hereingebrochen ist.
Sogar meine Verwandten gehen mir aus dem Weg.
13 Meine Todfeinde stellen mir Fallen,
sie wollen mich verleumden und zugrunde richten.
Ja, sie bringen mich in Verruf, wann immer sie nur können.
14 Und ich? Ich tue so, als hätte ich nichts gehört;
ich schweige zu ihren Anklagen wie ein Stummer.
15 Ich stelle mich taub
und gebe ihnen keine Antwort.
16 Denn auf dich, Herr, hoffe ich,
du wirst ihnen die passende Antwort geben,
mein Herr und mein Gott!
17 Lass nicht zu, dass sie über mich triumphieren
und sich über mein Unglück freuen!
18 Es fehlt nicht mehr viel, und ich liege am Boden,
ständig werde ich von Schmerzen gequält.
19 Ich bekenne dir meine Schuld,
denn meine Sünde macht mir schwer zu schaffen.
20 Übermächtig sind meine Feinde, und es gibt viele,
die mich ohne jeden Grund hassen.
21 Sie vergelten mir Gutes mit Bösem und feinden mich an,
weil ich das Gute tun will.
22 Herr, verlass mich nicht!
Mein Gott, bleib nicht fern von mir!
23 Komm und hilf mir schnell!
Du bist doch mein Herr und mein Retter!

38 O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17 For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

Salmo de David, para recordar.
38 Jehová, no me reprendas en tu furor,
Ni me castigues en tu ira.
2 Porque tus saetas se han clavado en mí,
Y sobre mí está pesando tu mano.
3 Nada hay sano en mi carne, a causa de tu indignación;
Ni hay reposo en mis huesos, a causa de mi pecado.
4 Porque mis iniquidades han sobrepasado mi cabeza;
Como carga pesada gravitan sobre mí.
5 Hieden y supuran mis llagas,
A causa de mi locura.
6 Estoy encorvado, estoy abatido en gran manera,
Ando como enlutado todo el día.
7 Porque mis lomos están ardiendo de fiebre,
Y nada hay sano en mi carne.
8 Estoy debilitado y molido en gran manera;
Gimo a causa de la conmoción de mi corazón.
9 Señor, delante de ti están todos mis deseos,
Y mi suspiro no te es oculto.
10 Mi corazón está acongojado, me ha dejado mi vigor,
Y aun la luz de mis ojos me falta ya.
11 Mis amigos y mis compañeros se mantienen lejos de mi llaga,
Y mis allegados se han alejado.
12 Los que buscan mi vida tienden lazos,
Y los que procuran mi mal hablan iniquidades,
Y maquinan engaños todo el día.
13 Mas yo, como si fuera sordo, no oigo;
Y soy como mudo que no abre la boca.
14 Soy, pues, como un hombre que no oye,
Y en cuya boca no hay respuestas.
15 Porque en ti, oh Jehová, he esperado;
Tú responderás, Jehová Dios mío.
16 Dije: No se alegren de mí;
Cuando mi pie resbale, no se engrandezcan sobre mí.
17 Porque yo estoy a punto de caer,
Y mi dolor está delante de mí continuamente.
18 Por tanto, confieso mi maldad,
Y me contrista mi pecado.
19 Porque mis enemigos son activos y poderosos,
Y se han aumentado los que me aborrecen sin causa.
20 Los que pagan mal por bien
Me son contrarios, por seguir yo lo bueno.
21 No me desampares, oh Jehová;
Dios mío, no te alejes de mí.
22 Apresúrate a ayudarme.

1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.(A)
2 Your arrows(B) have pierced me,
and your hand has come down on me.
3 Because of your wrath there is no health(C) in my body;
there is no soundness in my bones(D) because of my sin.
4 My guilt has overwhelmed(E) me
like a burden too heavy to bear.(F)
5 My wounds(G) fester and are loathsome(H)
because of my sinful folly.(I)
6 I am bowed down(J) and brought very low;
all day long I go about mourning.(K)
7 My back is filled with searing pain;(L)
there is no health(M) in my body.
8 I am feeble and utterly crushed;(N)
I groan(O) in anguish of heart.(P)
9 All my longings(Q) lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing(R) is not hidden from you.
10 My heart pounds,(S) my strength fails(T) me;
even the light has gone from my eyes.(U)
11 My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds;(V)
my neighbors stay far away.
12 Those who want to kill me set their traps,(W)
those who would harm me talk of my ruin;(X)
all day long they scheme and lie.(Y)
13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear,(Z)
like the mute, who cannot speak;
14 I have become like one who does not hear,
whose mouth can offer no reply.
15 Lord, I wait(AA) for you;
you will answer,(AB) Lord my God.
16 For I said, “Do not let them gloat(AC)
or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”(AD)
17 For I am about to fall,(AE)
and my pain(AF) is ever with me.
18 I confess my iniquity;(AG)
I am troubled by my sin.
19 Many have become my enemies(AH) without cause[b];
those who hate me(AI) without reason(AJ) are numerous.
20 Those who repay my good with evil(AK)
lodge accusations(AL) against me,
though I seek only to do what is good.
