信靠上帝的祷告

大卫的诗，交给乐长。

31 耶和华啊，我寻求你的庇护，
求你让我永不蒙羞；
你是公义的，求你拯救我。
²求你侧耳听我的呼求，
快来救我，作我坚固的避难所，
作拯救我的堡垒。
³你是我的磐石，我的堡垒，
求你为了自己的名而引导我，带领我。
⁴你是我的避难所，
求你救我脱离人们为我设下的陷阱。
⁵我将灵魂交托给你。
信实的上帝耶和华啊，
你必救赎我。
⁶我憎恨拜假神的人，
我信靠耶和华。
⁷你已经看见我的困苦，
知道我心中的愁烦，
你的恩慈使我欢喜快乐。
⁸你没有将我交给仇敌，
而是领我到宽阔之地。
⁹耶和华啊，我落在苦难之中，
求你怜悯我，
我双眼哭肿，身心疲惫。
¹⁰我的生命被愁苦吞噬，
岁月被哀伤耗尽，
力量因罪恶而消逝，
我成了枯骨一堆。
¹¹仇敌羞辱我，
邻居厌弃我，
朋友害怕我，
路人纷纷躲避我。
¹²我就像已死之人，被人遗忘；
又像破碎的陶器，被人丢弃。
¹³我听见许多人毁谤我，
惊恐笼罩着我。
他们图谋不轨，
谋害我的性命。

我依然信靠你；
我说：“你是我的上帝。”
¹⁵我的时日都掌握在你手中，
求你救我脱离仇敌和追逼我的人。
¹⁶求你笑颜垂顾仆人，
施慈爱拯救我。
¹⁷耶和华啊，我曾向你呼求，
求你不要叫我蒙羞。
求你使恶人蒙羞，
寂然无声地躺在阴间。
¹⁸愿你堵住撒谎之人的口，
他们骄傲自大，
狂妄地攻击义人。
¹⁹你的恩惠何其大——为敬畏你的人而预备，
在世人面前赐给投靠你的人。
²⁰你把他们藏在你那里，
使他们得到庇护，
免遭世人暗算。
你使他们在你的居所安然无恙，
免受恶言恶语的攻击。
²¹耶和华当受称颂！
因为我被困城中时，
祂以奇妙的爱待我。
²²我曾惊恐地说：
“你丢弃了我！”
其实你听了我的呼求。
²³耶和华忠心的子民啊，
你们要爱祂。
祂保护忠心的人，
严惩骄傲的人。
²⁴凡仰望耶和华的人啊，
要刚强壮胆！

31 耶和华啊！我投靠你；

求你使我永不羞愧，

求你按着你的公义搭救我。

²求你留心听我，赶快拯救我；

求你作我坚固的盘石，

作拯救我的坚垒。

³因为你是我的岩石、我的坚垒；

为你名的缘故，求你带领我，引导我。

⁴求你救我脱离人为我暗设的网罗，

因为你是我的避难所。

⁵我把我的灵魂交在你手里，

耶和华信实的　神啊！你救赎了我。

⁶我恨恶那些信奉虚无偶像的人；

至于我，我却倚靠耶和华。

⁷我要因你的慈爱欢喜快乐，

因为你看见了我的困苦，

知道我心中的痛苦；

⁸你没有把我交在仇敌的手里，

你使我的脚站稳在宽阔之地。

⁹耶和华啊！求你恩待我，因为我在患难之中；

我的眼睛因愁烦昏花，

我的身、我的心也都衰残。

¹⁰我的生命因愁苦耗尽，

我的岁月在叹息中消逝，

我的力量因罪孽衰退，

我的骨头也枯干。

¹¹我因众仇敌的缘故，成了众人羞辱的对象，

在我的邻居面前更是这样；

认识我的人都惧怕我；

在街上看见我的，都避开我。

¹²我被人完全忘记，如同死了的人，

我好象破碎的器皿，

¹³我听见许多人的毁谤，

四周都有惊吓；

他们一同商议攻击我，

图谋要取我的性命。

¹⁴但是，耶和华啊！我还是倚靠你；

我说：“你是我的　神。”

¹⁵我的一生都在你的手中；

求你救我脱离我仇敌的手，和那些迫害我的人。

¹⁶求你用你的脸光照你的仆人，

以你的慈爱拯救我。

¹⁷耶和华啊！求你不要使我羞愧，

因为我向你呼求；

求你使恶人羞愧，使他们在阴间静寂无声。

¹⁸那些逞骄傲，态度轻慢，

说话狂傲攻击义人的，

愿他们说谎的嘴唇哑而无声。

¹⁹耶和华啊！你为敬畏你的人所珍藏的好处，

为投靠你的人在世人面前所施行的恩惠，

是多么丰盛。

²⁰你把他们藏在你面前的隐密处，

免得他们陷在世人的阴谋里；

又把他们保护在帐棚内，以免落在口舌的争竞中。

²¹耶和华是应当称颂的，

因为我在被围困的城里，

他就向我显出他奇妙的慈爱。

²²至于我，我曾在惊恐中说：

“我从你眼前被隔绝”；

可是我向你呼求的时候，

你还是垂听了我恳求的声音。

²³耶和华的众圣民哪！你们都要爱耶和华；

耶和华保护诚实的人，

却严厉地报应行事骄傲的人。

²⁴所有仰望耶和华的人，

你们都要刚强，坚固你们的心。

A Prayer of Faith in Troubled Times

For the director of music. A song of David.

31 Lord, I trust in you.
    Let me never be disgraced.
    Save me because you do what is right.
²Listen to me.
    Save me quickly.
Be my rock of protection,
    a strong city to save me.
³You are my rock and my protection.
    For the good of your name, lead me and guide me.
⁴Set me free from the trap they set for me.
    You are my protection.
⁵I give you my life.
    Save me, Lord, God of truth.

⁶I hate those who worship false gods.
    I trust only in the Lord.
⁷I will be glad because of your love.
    You saw my suffering.
    You knew my troubles.
⁸You have not let my enemies defeat me.
    You have set me in a safe place.

⁹Lord, have mercy. I am in misery.
    My eyes are weak from so much crying.
    My whole being is tired from grief.
¹⁰My life is ending in sadness.
    My years are spent in crying.
My troubles are using up my strength.
    My bones are getting weaker.
¹¹Because of all my troubles, my enemies hate me.
    Even my neighbors look down on me.
When my friends see me,
    they are afraid and run.
¹²I am like a piece of a broken pot.
    I am forgotten as if I were dead.
¹³I have heard many insults.
    Terror is all around me.
They make plans against me.
    They want to kill me.

¹⁴Lord, I trust you.
    I have said, “You are my God.”
¹⁵My life is in your hands.
    Save me from my enemies’ grasp.
    Save me from those who are chasing me.
¹⁶Show your kindness to me, your servant.
    Save me because of your love.
¹⁷Lord, I called to you.
    So do not let me be disgraced.
Let the wicked be disgraced.
    Let them lie silent in the grave.
¹⁸With pride and hatred
    they speak against the righteous.
So shut their lying lips.

¹⁹How great is your goodness!
    You have stored it up for those who fear you.
You do good things for those who trust you.
    You do this for all to see.
²⁰You protect them by your presence
    from what people plan against them.
You keep them safe in your shelter
    from evil words.
²¹Praise the Lord.
    His love to me was wonderful
    when my city was attacked.
²²In my distress, I said,
    “God cannot see me!”
But you heard my prayer
    when I cried out to you for help.
²³Love the Lord, all you who belong to him.
    The Lord protects those who truly believe.
    But he punishes the proud as much as they have sinned.
²⁴All you who put your hope in the Lord
    be strong and brave.

31 ^(A)In You, Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never ^(B)be ^[a]put to shame;
^(C)In Your righteousness rescue me.
²^(D)Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly;
Be a ^(E)rock of ^[b]strength for me,
A ^[c]stronghold to save me.
³For You are my rock and ^(F)my fortress;
For the ^(G)sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me.
⁴You will ^(H)pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my ^(I)strength.
⁵^(J)Into Your hand I entrust my spirit;
You have ^(K)redeemed me, Lord, ^(L)God of ^[d]truth.

⁶I hate those who ^(M)devote themselves to worthless ^[e]idols,
But I ^(N)trust in the Lord.
⁷I will ^(O)rejoice and be glad in Your faithfulness,
Because You have ^(P)seen my misery;
You have known the troubles of my soul,
⁸And You have not ^(Q)handed me over to the enemy;
You have set my feet in a large place.

⁹Be gracious to me, Lord, for ^(R)I am in distress;
My ^(S)eye is wasted away from grief, ^(T)my soul and my body too.
¹⁰For my life is spent with ^(U)sorrow
And my years with sighing;
My ^(V)strength has failed because of my guilt,
And ^(W)my ^[f]body has wasted away.
¹¹Because of all my adversaries, I have become a ^(X)disgrace,
Especially to my ^(Y)neighbors,
And an object of dread to my acquaintances;
Those who see me in the street flee from me.
¹²I am ^(Z)forgotten like a dead person, out of mind;
I am like a broken vessel.

^(AB)Terror is on every side;
While they ^(AC)took counsel together against me,
They ^(AD)schemed to take away my life.

¹⁴But as for me, I trust in You, Lord,
I say, “^(AE)You are my God.”
¹⁵My ^(AF)times are in Your hand;
^(AG)Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
¹⁶Make Your ^(AH)face shine upon Your servant;
^(AI)Save me in Your faithfulness.
¹⁷Let me not be ^(AJ)put to shame, Lord, for I call upon You;
Let the ^(AK)wicked be put to shame, let them ^(AL)be silent in ^[h]Sheol.
¹⁸Let the ^(AM)lying lips be speechless,
Which ^(AN)speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.

¹⁹How great is Your ^(AO)goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who ^(AP)take refuge in You,
^(AQ)Before the sons of mankind!
²⁰You hide them in the ^(AR)secret place of Your presence from the ^(AS)conspiracies of mankind;
You keep them secretly in a ^[i]shelter from the ^(AT)strife of tongues.
²¹^(AU)Blessed be the Lord,
For He has shown His ^(AV)marvelous faithfulness to me in a besieged ^(AW)city.
²²As for me, ^(AX)I said in my alarm,
“I am ^(AY)cut off from Your eyes”;
Nevertheless You ^(AZ)heard the sound of my pleadings
When I called to You for help.

²³Love the Lord, all ^(BA)His godly ones!
The Lord ^(BB)watches over the faithful
But fully ^(BC)repays the one who acts arrogantly.
²⁴^(BD)Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who wait for the Lord.
