Pedido de ajuda e proteção

De Davi.

25 Ó Senhor Deus, a ti dirijo
    a minha oração.
Meu Deus, eu confio em ti.

Salva-me da vergonha da derrota;
não deixes que os meus inimigos
se alegrem com a minha desgraça.
Os que confiam em ti não sofrerão
    a vergonha da derrota,
mas serão derrotados os que sem motivo
    se revoltam contra ti.

Ó Senhor, ensina-me
    os teus caminhos!
Faze com que eu os conheça bem.
Ensina-me a viver
de acordo com a tua verdade,
pois tu és o meu Deus,
    o meu Salvador.
Eu sempre confio em ti.
Ó Senhor, lembra
da tua bondade e do teu amor,
que tens mostrado
    desde os tempos antigos.
Esquece os pecados e os erros
    da minha mocidade.
Por causa do teu amor
    e da tua bondade,
lembra de mim, ó Senhor Deus!

O Senhor é justo e bom
e por isso mostra aos pecadores
    o caminho que devem seguir.
Deus guia os humildes
    no caminho certo
e lhes ensina a sua vontade.
10 Ele é fiel e com amor guia
todos os que são fiéis
    à sua aliança
e que obedecem aos seus mandamentos.

11 Ó Senhor Deus, cumpre a tua promessa
e perdoa os meus pecados,
    porque são muitos!

12 Aqueles que temem o Senhor
aprenderão com ele o caminho
    que devem seguir.
13 Eles sempre terão sucesso,
e a Terra Prometida
    será dos seus filhos.
14 O Senhor Deus é amigo
    daqueles que o temem
e lhes ensina as condições
da aliança que fez com eles.

15 Eu olho sempre para o Senhor,
pois ele me livra do perigo.
16 Ó Deus, olha para mim
    e tem pena de mim,
pois estou sendo perseguido
    e não tenho proteção!
17 Livra o meu coração
    de todas as aflições
e tira-me de todas as dificuldades.
18 Vê as minhas tristezas e sofrimentos
e perdoa todos os meus pecados.

19 Vê quantos inimigos tenho;
vê como é grande o ódio deles
    contra mim.
20 Protege-me e salva-me;
livra-me da vergonha da derrota,
pois em ti encontro segurança.
21 Que a minha honestidade e sinceridade
    me protejam
porque confio em ti!

22 Ó Deus, salva Israel, o teu povo,
    de todas as suas dificuldades!

A Prayer for Guidance, Deliverance, and Forgiveness

Of David.[a]

25 To you, O Yahweh, I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust you; let me not be put to shame.
Do not let my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, none who wait for you should be put to shame.
Those who betray without cause should be put to shame.
Make me know your ways, O Yahweh.
Teach me your paths.
Cause me to walk in your truth and teach me,
because you are the God of my salvation.
I await you all day long.[b]
Remember your compassion, O Yahweh,
and your acts of loyal love,
because they are from of old.
Do not remember
the sins of my youth or my transgressions.
According to your loyal love remember me if you will,
for the sake of your goodness, O Yahweh.
Good and right is Yahweh;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
He causes the humble to walk in justice,
and teaches the humble his way.
10 All the paths of Yahweh are loyal love and faithfulness
for those who keep his covenant and statutes.[c]
11 Also, for the sake of your name, O Yahweh,
forgive my sin, because it is great.
12 Who is the man fearing Yahweh?
He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
13 His soul will lodge in prosperity,
and his offspring will possess the land.
14 Intimate fellowship with Yahweh is for those who fear him,
and he makes known his covenant to them.
15 My eyes are continually toward Yahweh,
because he will take my feet from the net.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me
because I am lonely and afflicted.
17 Remove the troubles of my heart;
bring me out from my distresses.
18 Consider my affliction and trouble,
and forgive[d] all my sins.
19 Consider that my enemies are many,
and they hate me with violent hatred.
20 Protect my life and deliver me.
Let me not be put to shame, because I take shelter in you.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
because I wait for you.
22 O God, redeem Israel
from all its troubles.

25 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 For thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
