Psalm 24
Of David. A psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s,(A) and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;(B)
2 for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.(C)
3 Who may ascend the mountain(D) of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?(E)
4 The one who has clean hands(F) and a pure heart,(G)
who does not trust in an idol(H)
or swear by a false god.[a]
5 They will receive blessing(I) from the Lord
and vindication(J) from God their Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face,(K) God of Jacob.[b][c]
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;(L)
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King(M) of glory(N) may come in.(O)
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,(P)
the Lord mighty in battle.(Q)
9 Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty(R)—
he is the King of glory.

Ärans konung och hans rike
1 Av David. En psalm.
Jorden och allt som uppfyller den tillhör Herren,
världen och de som bor i den.
2 Ty han har grundlagt den på haven,
och givit den fäste på strömmande vatten.
3 Vem får gå upp på Herrens berg?
Vem får träda in i hans helgedom?
4 Den som har oskyldiga händer och rent hjärta,
den som inte vänder sin själ till lögn
och inte svär falskt.
5 Han skall få välsignelse från Herren
och rättfärdighet av sin frälsnings Gud.
6 Sådant är det släkte som frågar efter honom.
De som söker ditt ansikte,
de är Jakobs barn.[a] Sela.
7 Höj, ni portar, era huvuden,
höj er, ni eviga dörrar,
så att ärans konung kan tåga in.
8 Vem är denne ärans konung?
Det är Herren, stark och väldig,
Herren, väldig i strid.

24 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

the world and those who dwell therein,

and established it upon the rivers.
3 (D)Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his (E)holy place?
4 (F)He who has (G)clean hands and (H)a pure heart,
who does not (I)lift up his soul to (J)what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5 He will receive (K)blessing from the Lord
and (L)righteousness from (M)the God of his salvation.
