21 耶和華啊！王因你的力量快樂，
因你的救恩大大歡呼。
2 他心裡所願的，你賜給了他；
他嘴唇所求的，你沒有拒絕。（細拉）
3 你以美福迎接他，
把精金的冠冕戴在他頭上。
4 他向你求壽，你就賜給他，
就是長久的日子，直到永遠。
5 他因你的救恩大有榮耀，
你又把尊榮和威嚴加給他。
6 你把永遠的福分賜給他，
又使他因與你同在的喜樂歡欣。
7 王倚靠耶和華，
靠著至高者的慈愛，他必不至動搖。
8 你的手要搜出你所有的仇敵，
你的右手必搜出那些恨你的人。
9 你出現的時候，就要使他們像熾熱的火爐；
耶和華必在他的震怒中吞滅他們，火必燒滅他們。
10 你必從地上除滅他們的子孫，
從人間除滅他們的後裔。
11 雖然他們定下惡計害你，
他們所設的陰謀卻不能成功。
12 你的箭扣上弦，對準他們的臉的時候，
他們必轉身而逃。
13 耶和華啊！願你因自己的能力被尊崇，
好讓我們歌唱，頌讚你的大能。

1 Een lied van David. Voor de leider van het koor.
2 Heer, de koning is blij over uw macht.
Hij juicht over al het goede dat U hem geeft.
3 U heeft hem alles gegeven wat hij wenste.
U heeft alles gegeven waar hij U om vroeg.
4 U bent goed voor hem,
nog vóórdat hij om iets heeft gevraagd.
U heeft een prachtige gouden kroon op zijn hoofd gezet.
5 Hij vroeg U om leven. U gaf wat hij vroeg.
U gaf hem een heel lang leven.
6 U bent altijd zó goed voor hem!
U heeft hem rijk, machtig en geëerd gemaakt.
7 U stort altijd uw goedheid over hem uit.
U bent dicht bij hem. Dat maakt hem vrolijk en blij.
8 Want de koning vertrouwt op U, Heer.
Hij wankelt niet dankzij de goedheid en liefde
van de Allerhoogste God.
9 Uw hand zal al uw vijanden treffen.
U zal al uw vijanden vernietigen.
10 Uw woede zal hen vernietigen,
zoals hout in de oven wordt verbrand door het vuur.
11 U zal hun kinderen van de aardbodem wegvegen.
Hun familie zal niet langer blijven bestaan.
12 Ze proberen wel kwaad te doen,
ze smeden wel allerlei plannen,
maar tegen U kunnen ze niet op.
13 Ze worden het doelwit van uw pijlen.
U legt een pijl op uw boog en schiet op hen.
14 Heer, laat zien hoe machtig U bent!
Wij zullen liederen zingen over uw machtige daden.

Psalm 21
For the music leader. A psalm of David.
21 The king celebrates your strength, Lord;
look how happy he is about your saving help!
2 You’ve given him what his heart desires;
you haven’t denied what his lips requested. Selah
3 You bring rich blessings right to him;
you put a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked you for life,
and you gave it to him, all right—
long days, forever and always!
5 The king’s reputation is great
because of your saving help;
you’ve conferred on him glory and grandeur.
6 You grant him blessings forever;
you make him happy
with the joy of your presence.
7 Because the king trusts the Lord,
and because of the Most High’s faithful love,
he will not stumble.
8 Your hand will catch all your enemies;
your strong hand will catch all who hate you.
9 When you appear, Lord,
you will light them up like an oven on fire.
God will eat them whole in his anger;
fire will devour them.
10 You will destroy their offspring from the land;
destroy their descendants from the human race.
11 Because they sought to do you harm,
they devised a wicked plan—but they will fail!
12 Because you will make them turn and run
when you aim your bow straight at their faces!
13 Be exalted, Lord, in your strength!
We will sing and praise your power!

21 Oh Señor, en Tu fortaleza se alegrará el rey(A),
¡Y cuánto se regocijará en Tu salvación!
2 Tú le has dado el deseo de su corazón(B),
Y no le has negado la petición de sus labios. (Selah)
3 Porque le sales al encuentro con bendiciones de bien(C);
Corona de oro fino colocas en su cabeza(D).
4 Vida te pidió y Tú se la diste(E),
Largura de días eternamente y para siempre(F).
5 Grande es su gloria por Tu salvación(G),
Esplendor y majestad has puesto sobre él(H).
6 Pues le haces bienaventurado para siempre(I);
Con Tu presencia le deleitas con alegría(J).
7 ¶Porque el rey confía en el Señor(K),
Y por la misericordia del Altísimo no será conmovido(L).
8 Hallará Tu mano a todos Tus enemigos(M);
Tu diestra hallará a aquellos que te odian.
9 Los harás como horno encendido(N) en el tiempo de Tu enojo.
El Señor en Su ira los devorará(O),
Y fuego los consumirá(P).
10 Su descendencia destruirás de la superficie de la tierra,
Y sus descendientes(Q) de entre los hijos de los hombres.
11 Aunque intentaron el mal contra Ti(R),
Y fraguaron una conspiración(S),
No prevalecerán,
12 Pues Tú los pondrás en fuga(T),
Apuntarás a sus rostros con Tu arco(U).
13 Engrandécete, oh Señor, en Tu poder;
Cantaremos y alabaremos Tu poderío(V).
