Salmos 20
Nova Traduҫão na Linguagem de Hoje 2000
Oração pela vitória
Salmo de Davi. Ao regente do coro.
20 Ó rei, que na hora da angústia
o Senhor Deus responda
à sua oração!
Que o Deus de Jacó o proteja!
2 Que, do seu Templo,
Deus lhe envie socorro,
e que, do monte Sião, ele o ajude!
3 Que Deus lembre
de todas as suas ofertas
e aceite com prazer os seus
sacrifícios queimados no altar!
4 Que Deus satisfaça
os seus desejos, ó rei,
e permita que todos os seus planos
deem certo!
5 Então daremos gritos de alegria
pelo seu triunfo
e, em louvor ao nosso Deus,
levantaremos as bandeiras
da vitória.
Que o Senhor atenda
todos os seus pedidos, ó rei!
6 Agora sei que o Senhor
dá a vitória
ao rei que ele escolheu.
Do seu santo céu, ele lhe responde
e, com o seu grande poder,
ele o torna vitorioso.
7 Alguns confiam
nos seus carros de guerra,
e outros, nos seus cavalos,
mas nós confiamos no poder
do Senhor, nosso Deus.
8 Eles tropeçarão e cairão,
mas nós nos levantaremos
e ficaremos firmes.
9 Ó Senhor Deus, dá a vitória ao rei!
Responde-nos
quando pedirmos a tua ajuda.
Psalm 20
Lexham English Bible
God’s Blessing on the King
For the music director. A psalm of David.[a]
20 May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble.
May the name of Jacob’s God protect[b] you.
2 May he send you help[c] from the sanctuary,
and from Zion may he sustain you.
3 May he remember all your offerings,
and your burnt offering may he regard favorably.[d]
4 May he give to you your heart’s desire,[e]
and your every plan may he fulfill. Selah
5 May we shout for joy over your victory,
and in the name of our God may we set up banners.
May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.
6 Now I know that Yahweh will help his anointed.[f]
He will answer him from his holy heaven
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some boast in chariots and others in horses,[g]
but we boast in the name of Yahweh, our God.
8 They will collapse and fall,
and we will rise and stand firm.
9 Rescue,[h] O Yahweh.
Let the king answer us when we call.
