大卫的诗，交给乐长。
19 诸天述说上帝的荣耀，
穹苍传扬祂的作为。
2 它们日复一日地诉说，
夜复一夜地宣扬，
3 无言无语，无声无息。
4 它们的声音传遍天下，
它们的话语传到地极。
上帝在天上为太阳设立居所。
5 太阳出来时，如步出洞房的新郎，
又如欢然奔跑赛程的健儿。
6 它滑过长空，
从天这边绕到天那边，
热量广及万物。
7 耶和华的律法完美，
能更新生命；
耶和华的法度可靠，
让愚人有智慧。
8 耶和华的法则公正，
使人充满喜乐；
耶和华的命令纯全，
让人眼目明亮。
9 要以纯洁的心敬畏耶和华，
直到永远；
耶和华的法令可靠，
全然公义。
10 这些比纯金还宝贵，
比蜂房的蜜更甘甜。
11 你仆人从中受到警戒，
遵守的人必得大赏赐。
12 谁能知道自己的过失呢？
求你赦免我心中隐藏的过错。
13 求你拦阻我，
别让我明知故犯，
别让罪恶辖制我。
这样，我才纯全正直，
免犯大过。

2 它們日復一日地訴說，
夜復一夜地宣揚，
3 無言無語，無聲無息。
4 它們的聲音傳遍天下，
它們的話語傳到地極。
上帝在天上為太陽設立居所。
5 太陽出來時，如步出洞房的新郎，
又如歡然奔跑賽程的健兒。
6 它滑過長空，
從天這邊繞到天那邊，
熱量廣及萬物。
7 耶和華的律法完美，
能更新生命；
耶和華的法度可靠，
讓愚人有智慧。
8 耶和華的法則公正，
使人充滿喜樂；
耶和華的命令純全，
讓人眼目明亮。
9 要以純潔的心敬畏耶和華，
直到永遠；
耶和華的法令可靠，

19 Een psalm van David voor de koordirigent.
2 De hemelen vertellen
over Gods grote eer
en het hemelgewelf spreekt
over zijn scheppend werk.
3 De ene dag vertelt het
aan de volgende dag
en de ene nacht
aan de volgende nacht.
4 Het is duidelijk
dat dat geen echte woorden zijn,
het is immers niet te horen.
5 Toch hoort men die boodschap
over de hele wereld,
overal waar mensen wonen
heeft het nieuws hen bereikt.
Het is alsof God een tent heeft gemaakt
voor de zon,
6 die ʼs morgens,
blij als een bruidegom,
naar buiten gaat
en zingend zijn weg betreedt
als een gevierde held.
7 De zon wandelt elke dag
van het ene tot het andere einde van de aarde,
alles ter wereld ervaart haar stralende gloed.
8 De wet van de Here
is volmaakt en goed,
zij verandert ons leven.
De woorden van de Here
zijn altijd betrouwbaar,
zij geven wijsheid aan de onwetende.
9 Het bevel van de Here
is een vreugde voor ons hart.
Het gebod van de Here
is zuiver en geeft ons een duidelijk inzicht.
10 Het ontzag voor de Here
is rein en blijft altijd bestaan.
De voorschriften van de Here
bevatten louter waarheid,
zij zijn altijd rechtvaardig.
11 Zij zijn veel kostbaarder dan goud
en zoeter dan de zuiverste honing,
vers uit de raat.
12 De knecht van God
neemt ze ernstig en leert ervan,
het houden ervan
levert de rijkste beloning op.
13 God, vergeef mij
ook mijn onbewuste zonden,
want wie kent al zijn fouten?
14 Ik ben uw dienaar, Here.
Bewaar mij voor overmoedigheid.
Geef dat die geen kans krijgt in mijn leven.
Dan kan ik pas echt naar uw wil leven
en zal ik niet zondigen.
15 Ik bid U, Here,
dat alles wat ik zeg met mijn mond
en denk in mijn hart,
naar uw wil mag zijn.
Here, U bent mijn rots en mijn bevrijder.

Psalm 19[a]
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The heavens(A) declare(B) the glory of God;(C)
the skies(D) proclaim the work of his hands.(E)
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.(F)
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.(G)
In the heavens God has pitched a tent(H) for the sun.(I)
5 It is like a bridegroom(J) coming out of his chamber,(K)
like a champion(L) rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens(M)
and makes its circuit to the other;(N)
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
7 The law of the Lord(O) is perfect,(P)
refreshing the soul.(Q)
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,(R)
making wise the simple.(S)
8 The precepts of the Lord are right,(T)
giving joy(U) to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.(V)
9 The fear of the Lord(W) is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.(X)
10 They are more precious than gold,(Y)
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,(Z)
than honey from the honeycomb.(AA)
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.(AB)
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;(AC)
may they not rule over me.(AD)
Then I will be blameless,(AE)
innocent of great transgression.
