无辜者的祈祷
大卫的祈祷。
17 耶和华啊，
求你听我祈求公义的声音，
侧耳听我的呼求，
垂听我真诚的祷告。
2 愿你宣判我无罪，
愿你明察是非。
3 你试验过我的心思，
夜间鉴察过我，磨炼过我，
找不出任何过犯；
我立志口不犯罪。
4 我遵守你的教导，洁身自守，
不与残暴之徒同流。
5 我坚定地走你的道路，
从未偏离。
6 上帝啊！我向你祈祷，
因为你必应允我。
求你垂听我的祷告。
7 求你彰显你奇妙的慈爱，
用右手拯救投靠你的人脱离仇敌。
8 求你保护我，像保护眼中的瞳仁，
用你的翅膀荫庇我，
9 救我脱离恶人的攻击，
脱离四围杀气腾腾的仇敌。
10 他们良心丧尽，口出狂言。
11 他们穷追围堵，
伺机把我打倒在地。
12 他们像急于撕碎猎物的饿狮，
又像蹲伏在暗处的猛狮。
13 耶和华啊，
求你起来迎头击倒他们，
求你持刀救我脱离恶人。
14 耶和华啊，
求你伸手救我脱离这些人，
脱离这些只在今生有福分的世人。
你使他们财宝无数。
他们儿女众多，
还把财富留给子孙。
15 但我因持守公义必见你的面；

Acerca tu oído a mí, escucha mis palabras
17 Oración de David.
¡Escucha, Señor, lo que es justo! Atiende mi súplica,
presta oído a mi ruego, pues mis labios no mienten.
2 Tú dictarás mi sentencia,
tus ojos discernirán lo que es justo.
3 Me has sondeado, me has examinado de noche,
me has probado y no has hallado mal alguno.
Mi boca no ha pecado;
4 frente a otras conductas humanas,
yo evité el camino del violento,
siguiendo la palabra de tus labios.
5 He mantenido mis pasos firmes en tus sendas
y no he dejado que mis pies se extravíen.
6 Yo te invoco y tú, Dios, me respondes.
¡Acerca tu oído a mí, escucha mis palabras!
7 Haz resplandecer tu amor,
tú que salvas de sus atacantes
a quienes se refugian en ti.
8 Protégeme como a la niña de tus ojos,
dame cobijo a la sombra de tus alas,
9 que los injustos me acosan,
los enemigos me asedian con saña.
10 Han endurecido su corazón,
hablan con arrogancia;
11 me acosan, me tienen cercado
y clavan en mí sus ojos para abatirme.
12 Son como un león ávido de devorar,
como un cachorro que acecha en lo oculto.
13 ¡Ponte, Señor, en acción;
hazle frente, derrótalo!
¡Que tu espada me libre del malvado
14 y tu mano, Señor, de los mortales!
Su heredad está en esta vida;
llena, pues, su vientre con tus bienes
y que sacien a sus hijos
y a sus pequeños dejen las sobras.
15 Pero yo, Señor, me he portado rectamente
y por eso contemplaré tu rostro;
al despertarme, me saciaré de tu imagen.

A prayer for help
17 Lord, please listen to me.
I am asking you to do something that is right.
I am speaking what is true,
so please do what I ask you to do.
2 Say clearly that I am not guilty.
You can see for yourself that I am right.
3 You look deep into my mind.
You check my thoughts at night.
When you test me,
you find nothing that is wrong.
I have decided that I will never tell any lies.
4 I have watched people do bad things.
But I have obeyed your commands.
I have not joined with cruel people
to do what they do.
5 No, I carefully follow your ways.
I do not turn away from them.
6 I pray to you, God,
because you will answer me.
Please listen to me when I pray to you.
7 Do great things that show your faithful love!
You have the power to keep people safe from their enemies.
You help them when they trust you for help.
8 Please keep me safe,
in the same way that people take care of their eyes.
Keep me near to you,
in the way that birds protect their babies under their wings.
9 Keep me safe from the wicked men who attack me.
My enemies are all around me,
and they want to kill me!
10 They refuse to be kind to anyone.
They speak proud words.
11 Now they have found me. They are ready to attack!
They look for their chance
to knock me down to the ground.
12 They are like hungry lions.
They want to tear me into pieces.
They are hiding like young lions.
They are ready to jump out and catch me!
13 Lord, please do something!
Fight against them! Knock them down!
Take your sword and save me from those wicked men.
14 Lord, use your power to save me from them.
They only think about this world,
and they enjoy the good things that it gives them.
So give them all that you have ready for them.
Give them more than they want!
May their children also have plenty,
and enough left to give to their children too.
15 As for me, Lord, I am not guilty of sin.
So I will see your face.
When I wake up, I will see you clearly,
and I will be really happy!
