信靠之福
大卫的诗。
16 上帝啊！我投靠你，
求你保护我。
2 我对耶和华说：“你是我的主，
我美好的一切都从你而来。”
3 世上敬畏你的人极其尊贵，
是我所喜爱的。
4 追随假神的人，其愁苦必有增无减。
我必不向他们的假神献上血祭，
口中也不提假神的名号。
5 耶和华啊，你是我的一切，
你赐我一切福分，
你掌管我的一切。
6 你赐我佳美之地，
我的产业何其美！
7 我要称颂赐我教诲的耶和华，
我的良心也在夜间提醒我。
8 我常以耶和华为念，
祂在我右边，我必不动摇。
9 因此，我的心欢喜，
我的灵快乐，
我的身体也安然无恙。
10 你不会把我的灵魂撇在阴间，
也不会让你的圣者身体朽坏。
11 你把生命之路指示我，
你右手有永远的福乐，
我在你面前充满喜乐。
Psalm 16
King James Version
16 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

16 Een speciaal lied van David.
Zorg voor mij, mijn God,
ik zoek mijn bescherming bij U.
2 Ik zei tegen de Here:
‘U bent mijn God,
er is niets of niemand beter dan U.
3 Als ik kijk naar de andere mensen die U volgen,
wordt mijn hart warm van blijdschap.
4 Mensen die afgoden nalopen,
worden getroffen door veel ellende.
Ik zal nooit aan hun afgoden offeren,
zelfs hun namen zal ik niet noemen.
5 Here, U bent alles wat ik bezit en ooit begeer
U leidt mijn hele leven.
6 U geeft mij meer dan ik nodig heb
en alles wat ik van U ontvang,
geeft mij grote vreugde.’
7 Ik loof de Here,
die mij steeds de weg wees.
Zelfs wanneer ik slaap, leidt Hij mij.
8 Ik heb de Here altijd voor ogen,
Hij leidt mij en houdt mij overeind.
9 Daarom is er vreugde in mijn hart
en ben ik gelukkig.
Zelfs mijn lichaam
is veilig bij Hem.
10 U zult mij niet
in het dodenrijk laten liggen.
U zult het lichaam van uw beminde niet
laten vergaan.
11 U leert mij hoe ik leven moet,
mijn grootste vreugde is dicht bij U te zijn.
Uw liefde is er tot in eeuwigheid.
