Glädje i Herren
149 [a]Halleluja!
Sjung till Herren en ny sång,
hans lov i de trognas församling!
2 [b]Israel ska glädja sig över sin Skapare,
Sions barn jubla över sin kung.
3 [c]De ska prisa hans namn med dans,
sjunga hans lov med tamburin
och harpa,
4 [d]för Herren gläds över sitt folk,
han smyckar de ödmjuka
med frälsning.
5 [e]De trogna ska jubla i härlighet
och sjunga av glädje på sin bädd.
6 [f]De ska ha Guds lov i sin mun
och ett tveeggat svärd i sin hand,
7 [g]för att hämnas på hednafolken
och straffa folken,
8 [h]för att binda deras
kungar med kedjor
och deras stormän
med bojor av järn,
9 [i]för att verkställa den dom
som står skriven.
Det blir en ära för alla hans trogna.

Hoffnung für Alle
Lobt den Herrn für seinen Sieg!
149 Halleluja – lobt den Herrn!
Singt dem Herrn ein neues Lied,
preist ihn mit der ganzen Gemeinde –
ja, mit allen, die ihm die Treue halten!
2 Ganz Israel freue sich über seinen Schöpfer.
Jubelt ihm zu, ihr Einwohner Jerusalems[a], denn er ist euer König!
3 Tanzt zu seiner Ehre und rühmt seinen Namen mit euren Liedern!
Spielt für ihn auf dem Tamburin und auf der Laute!
4 Denn der Herr hat Freude an seinem Volk,
die Unterdrückten beschenkt er mit seiner Hilfe.
5 Die zu ihm gehören, sollen darüber jubeln
und selbst noch im Bett fröhlich singen.
6 Sie sollen ihre Stimme erheben und Gott loben.
In ihren Händen halten sie scharfe Schwerter,
7 um an den gottlosen Völkern Vergeltung zu üben
und sein Strafgericht an ihnen zu vollziehen.
8 Sie werden deren Könige in Ketten legen
und die hohen Beamten gefesselt abführen.
9 Sie werden Gottes Urteil vollstrecken,
das über die Völker verhängt wurde –
welch eine Ehre für alle, die treu zu Gott stehen!
Lobt den Herrn – halleluja!

3 Let them praise his name with dancing(G)
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.(H)
4 For the Lord takes delight(I) in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.(J)
5 Let his faithful people rejoice(K) in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.(L)
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths(M)
and a double-edged(N) sword in their hands,(O)
7 to inflict vengeance(P) on the nations
and punishment(Q) on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,(R)
their nobles with shackles of iron,(S)
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—(T)
this is the glory of all his faithful people.(U)

149 Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.
