149 Alleluia.
Cantate al Signore un canto nuovo;
la sua lode nell'assemblea dei fedeli.
2 Gioisca Israele nel suo Creatore,
esultino nel loro Re i figli di Sion.
3 Lodino il suo nome con danze,
con timpani e cetre gli cantino inni.
4 Il Signore ama il suo popolo,
incorona gli umili di vittoria.
5 Esultino i fedeli nella gloria,
sorgano lieti dai loro giacigli.
6 Le lodi di Dio sulla loro bocca
e la spada a due tagli nelle loro mani,
7 per compiere la vendetta tra i popoli
e punire le genti;
8 per stringere in catene i loro capi,
i loro nobili in ceppi di ferro;
9 per eseguire su di essi il giudizio gia scritto:
questa è la gloria per tutti i suoi fedeli.

1 Hallelujah!
Sing a new song to Yahweh.
Sing his praise in the assembly of godly people.
2 Let Israel find joy in their creator.
Let the people of Zion rejoice over their Melek.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing.
Let them make music to him with tambourines and lyres,
4 because Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns those who are oppressed with victory.
5 Let godly people triumph in glory.
Let them sing for joy on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of El be in their throats
and two-edged swords in their hands
7 to take vengeance on the nations,
to punish the people of the world,
8 to put their kings in chains
and their leaders in iron shackles,
9 to carry out the judgment that is written against them.
This is an honor that belongs to all his godly ones.

2 Let Israel rejoice(D) in their Maker;(E)
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.(F)
3 Let them praise his name with dancing(G)
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.(H)
4 For the Lord takes delight(I) in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.(J)
5 Let his faithful people rejoice(K) in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.(L)
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths(M)
and a double-edged(N) sword in their hands,(O)
7 to inflict vengeance(P) on the nations
and punishment(Q) on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,(R)
their nobles with shackles of iron,(S)
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—(T)
this is the glory of all his faithful people.(U)
