Psalm 149

Praise the Lord.[a](A)

Sing to the Lord a new song,(B)
    his praise in the assembly(C) of his faithful people.

Let Israel rejoice(D) in their Maker;(E)
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.(F)
Let them praise his name with dancing(G)
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.(H)
For the Lord takes delight(I) in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.(J)
Let his faithful people rejoice(K) in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.(L)

May the praise of God be in their mouths(M)
    and a double-edged(N) sword in their hands,(O)
to inflict vengeance(P) on the nations
    and punishment(Q) on the peoples,
to bind their kings with fetters,(R)
    their nobles with shackles of iron,(S)
to carry out the sentence written against them—(T)
    this is the glory of all his faithful people.(U)

Que Israel se regocije en su creador

149 ¡Aleluya!
Canten al Señor un cántico nuevo,
alábenlo en la asamblea de los fieles.
Que Israel se regocije en su creador,
que los hijos de Sión se gocen en su rey.
Que alaben su nombre entre danzas,
que le canten con cítara y pandero,
porque el Señor ama a su pueblo,
a los humildes honra con la victoria.
Que los fieles exulten triunfantes,
que en sus lechos griten de alegría,
con himnos a Dios en sus gargantas
y espadas de dos filos en sus manos;
se vengarán así de las naciones,
castigarán a los pueblos,
apresarán a sus reyes con grilletes,
a sus poderosos con cadenas de hierro.
Se cumplirá de este modo la sentencia escrita,
y será un honor para todos sus fieles.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their (B)King.
(C)Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For (D)the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
(E)He will beautify the [b]humble with salvation.

Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them (F)sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And (G)a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
(H)To execute on them the written judgment—
(I)This honor have all His saints.
