Creation’s Praise of the Lord
148 Hallelujah!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights.(A)
2 Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly armies.(B)
3 Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.(C)
4 Praise him, highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens.(D)
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for he commanded, and they were created.(E)
6 He set them in position for ever and ever;
he gave an order that will never pass away.(F)
7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
all sea monsters and ocean depths,(G)
8 lightning[a] and hail, snow and cloud,
stormy wind that executes his command,(H)
9 mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,(I)
10 wild animals and all cattle,
creatures that crawl and flying birds,(J)
11 kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all judges of the earth,(K)
12 young men as well as young women,
old and young together.(L)
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted.
His majesty covers heaven and earth.(M)
14 He has raised up a horn for his people,
resulting in praise to all his faithful ones,
to the Israelites, the people close to him.(N)

and you waters above the skies.(G)
5 Let them praise the name(H) of the Lord,
for at his command(I) they were created,
6 and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree(J) that will never pass away.
7 Praise the Lord(K) from the earth,
you great sea creatures(L) and all ocean depths,(M)
8 lightning and hail,(N) snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,(O)
9 you mountains and all hills,(P)
fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals(Q) and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,
11 kings(R) of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,
12 young men and women,
old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,(S)
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor(T) is above the earth and the heavens.(U)
14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,[b](V)
the praise(W) of all his faithful servants,(X)
of Israel, the people close to his heart.(Y)

148 Alleluia. Lodate l'Eterno dai cieli, lodatelo nei luoghi altissimi.
2 Lodatelo, voi tutti suoi angeli, lodatelo voi tutti suoi eserciti.
3 Lodatelo, sole e luna, lodatelo, voi tutte stelle lucenti.
4 Lodatelo, voi cieli dei cieli, e voi acque al di sopra dei cieli
5 Tutte queste cose lodino il nome dell'Eterno, perché egli comandò, ed esse furono create.
6 Egli le ha stabilite per sempre, in eterno; ha fatto uno statuto che non passerà mai.
7 Lodate l'Eterno dalla terra, voi mostri marini e oceani tutti,
8 fuoco e grandine, neve e nubi, vento di tempesta che esegue i suoi ordini;
9 monti e colli tutti, alberi fruttiferi e cedri tutti;
10 voi tutti animali selvatici e domestici, rettili e uccelli alati;
11 voi re della terra e popoli tutti, principi e giudici tutti della terra;
12 giovani e fanciulle, vecchi e bambini.
13 Lodino il nome dell'Eterno, perché solo il suo nome è esaltato. La sua gloria è al di sopra della terra e dei cieli.
14 Egli ha accresciuto la forza del suo popolo, un motivo questo di lode per tutti i suoi santi, per i figli d'Israele, un popolo a lui vicino. Alleluia.
