大卫的赞美诗。
145 我的上帝，我的王啊！
我要尊崇你，
我要永永远远称颂你的名。
2 我要天天称颂你，
永永远远赞美你的名。
3 耶和华是伟大的，
当受至高的颂赞，
祂的伟大无法测度。
4 愿世世代代颂赞你的事迹，
传扬你大能的作为。
5 我要默想你的荣耀、威严和奇妙作为。
6 人们要述说你令人敬畏的大能作为，
我也要传扬你的伟大事迹。
7 他们要诉说你的厚恩，
歌颂你的公义。
8 耶和华有恩典和怜悯，
不轻易发怒，充满慈爱。
9 耶和华善待万民，
怜悯祂所造的万物。
10 耶和华啊，
你所创造的万物都要称谢你，
你忠心的子民也要称颂你。
11 他们要述说你国度的荣耀，
讲论你的大能，
12 好让世人知道你大能的作为和你国度的威严与荣耀。
13 你的国度永远长存，
你的统治直到万代。
耶和华信守自己的一切应许，
以慈爱待祂所创造的万物。[a]
14 耶和华扶起跌倒的人，
扶持被重担所压的人。
15 世人都仰赖你，
你按时赐给他们所需的食物。
16 你慷慨满足一切生命的需要。
17 耶和华的作为公义，
祂所行的充满慈爱。
18 耶和华垂顾一切求告祂的人，
一切诚心求告祂的人。
19 祂使敬畏祂的人心愿得偿，
垂听他们的呼求，拯救他们。
20 耶和华保护所有爱祂的人，
毁灭一切恶人。
21 我要开口赞美耶和华，
万物都要称颂祂的圣名，
直到永永远远。

145 En lovsang av David. Jeg vil ophøie dig, min Gud, du som er kongen, og jeg vil love ditt navn evindelig og alltid.
2 Hver dag vil jeg love dig, og jeg vil prise ditt navn evindelig og alltid.
3 Herren er stor og høilovet, og hans storhet er uransakelig.
4 En slekt skal lovprise for den annen dine gjerninger, og dine veldige gjerninger skal de forkynne.
5 På din majestets herlighet og ære og på dine undergjerninger vil jeg grunde.
6 Og om dine sterke og forferdelige gjerninger skal de tale, og dine store gjerninger vil jeg fortelle.
7 Minneord om din store godhet skal de la strømme ut og synge med fryd om din rettferdighet.
8 Herren er nådig og barmhjertig, langmodig og stor i miskunnhet.
9 Herren er god imot alle, og hans barmhjertighet er over alle hans gjerninger.
10 Alle dine gjerninger skal prise dig, Herre, og dine fromme skal love dig.
11 Om ditt rikes herlighet skal de tale og fortelle om ditt velde,
12 for å kunngjøre for menneskenes barn dine veldige gjerninger og ditt rikes herlighet og ære.
13 Ditt rike er et rike for alle evigheter, og ditt herredømme varer gjennem alle slekter.
14 Herren støtter alle dem som faller, og opreiser alle nedbøiede.
15 Alles øine vokter på dig, og du gir dem deres føde i sin tid.
16 Du oplater din hånd og metter alt levende med velbehag[a].
17 Herren er rettferdig i alle sine veier og miskunnelig i alle sine gjerninger.
18 Herren er nær hos alle dem som kaller på ham, hos alle som kaller på ham i sannhet.
19 Han gjør efter deres velbehag som frykter ham, og han hører deres rop og frelser dem.
20 Herren bevarer alle dem som elsker ham; men alle de ugudelige ødelegger han.
21 Min munn skal uttale Herrens pris, og alt kjød skal love hans hellige navn evindelig og alltid.

Praising God’s Greatness
A hymn of David.
145 I[a] exalt you, my God the King,
and bless your name for ever and ever.(A)
2 I will bless you every day;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.(B)
3 The Lord is great and is highly praised;(C)
his greatness is unsearchable.(D)
4 One generation will declare your works to the next
and will proclaim your mighty acts.(E)
5 I[b] will speak of your splendour and glorious majesty
and[c] your wondrous works.(F)
6 They will proclaim the power of your awe-inspiring acts,
and I will declare your greatness.[d](G)
7 They will give a testimony of your great goodness
and will joyfully sing of your righteousness.(H)
8 The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and great in faithful love.(I)
9 The Lord is good to everyone;(J)
his compassion rests on all he has made.(K)
10 All you have made will thank you, Lord;
the[e] faithful will bless you.(L)
11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom
and will declare your might,(M)
12 informing all people of your mighty acts
and of the glorious splendour of your[f] kingdom.(N)
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom;

The Lord is faithful in all his words

14 The Lord helps all who fall;

16 You open your hand
and satisfy the desire of every living thing.(S)
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways

18 The Lord is near all who call out to him,

19 He fulfils the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry for help and saves them.(V)
20 The Lord guards all those who love him,
but he destroys all the wicked.(W)
21 My mouth will declare the Lord’s praise;

King James Version
145 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14 The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
