4 (A)Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
Preserve me from violent men,
Who have purposed to make my steps stumble.
5 The proud have hidden a (B)snare for me, and cords;
They have spread a net by the wayside;

    who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare(C) for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net(D)
    and have set traps(E) for me along my path.
