131 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.

Tranquilo y confiado en el Señor

Canto de David para los peregrinos.

SEÑOR, yo no soy orgulloso
    ni me las doy de importante;
no pretendo hacer maravillas
    ni me preocupo por hacer lo que me es imposible realizar.
Al contrario, estoy tranquilo y tan calmado
    como un niño recién amamantado
    que está en brazos de su mamá.
Estoy tan feliz
    como un niño recién amamantado.

Israel, confía en el SEÑOR
    desde ahora y para siempre.

Simple Trust in the Lord

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

131 Lord, my heart is not [a]haughty,
Nor my eyes [b]lofty.
(A)Neither do I [c]concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too [d]profound for me.

Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
(B)Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

(C)O Israel, hope in the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
