128 Много раз притесняли меня с юности, –
пусть скажет Исраил, –
2 много раз притесняли меня с юности,
но не одолели.
3 На спине моей пахали пахари,
проводили свои длинные борозды.
4 Но Вечный праведен:
Он разрубил узы нечестивых.
5 Пусть постыдятся и повернут назад
все ненавидящие Сион.
6 Пусть будут они как трава на крыше дома,
которая высыхает прежде, чем будет вырвана.
7 Жнец не наполнит ею руки своей,
и вяжущий снопы не соберёт её и в пригоршни.
8 Пусть проходящие мимо не скажут им в приветствие:
«Благословение Вечного на вас!
Благословляем вас во имя Вечного!»

A song of ascents.
1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord,(A)
who walk in obedience to him.(B)
2 You will eat the fruit of your labor;(C)
blessings and prosperity(D) will be yours.
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine(E)
within your house;
your children(F) will be like olive shoots(G)
around your table.
4 Yes, this will be the blessing(H)
for the man who fears the Lord.(I)

A Song of Ascents.
128 Blessed (A)is every one who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways.
2 (B)When you eat the [a]labor of your hands,
You shall be happy, and it shall be (C)well with you.
3 Your wife shall be (D)like a fruitful vine
In the very heart of your house,
Your (E)children (F)like olive plants
All around your table.
4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears the Lord.
5 (G)The Lord bless you out of Zion,
And may you see the good of Jerusalem
All the days of your life.
6 Yes, may you (H)see your children’s children.
