124 （ 大 衛 上 行 之 詩 。 ） 以 色 列 人 要 說 ： 若 不 是 耶 和 華 幫 助 我 們 ，
2 若 不 是 耶 和 華 幫 助 我 們 ， 當 人 起 來 攻 擊 我 們 、
3 向 我 們 發 怒 的 時 候 ， 就 把 我 們 活 活 地 吞 了 。
4 那 時 ， 波 濤 必 漫 過 我 們 ， 河 水 必 淹 沒 我 們 ，
5 狂 傲 的 水 必 淹 沒 我 們 。
6 耶 和 華 是 應 當 稱 頌 的 ！ 他 沒 有 把 我 們 當 野 食 交 給 他 們 吞 吃 （ 原 文 是 牙 齒 ） 。
7 我 們 好 像 雀 鳥 ， 從 捕 鳥 人 的 網 羅 裡 逃 脫 ； 網 羅 破 裂 ， 我 們 逃 脫 了 。
8 我 們 得 幫 助 ， 是 在 乎 倚 靠 造 天 地 之 耶 和 華 的 名 。

The Lord the Defense of His People
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
124 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our (A)side,”
(B)Let Israel now say—
2 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
When men rose up against us,
3 Then they would have (C)swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us;
4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have [a]gone over our soul;
5 Then the swollen waters
Would have [b]gone over our soul.”
6 Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
7 (D)Our soul has escaped (E)as a bird from the snare of the [c]fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8 (F)Our help is in the name of the Lord,
(G)Who made heaven and earth.
