Psalm 123
New King James Version
Prayer for Relief from Contempt
A Song of Ascents.
123 Unto You (A)I lift up my eyes,
O You (B)who dwell in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
(C)So our eyes look to the Lord our God,
Until He has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.

123 Песнь восхождения Давида.
Если бы Господь был не на нашей стороне, –
да скажет Израиль, –
2 если бы Господь был не на нашей стороне,
когда напали на нас люди,
3 то они поглотили бы нас живьем,
когда их гнев разгорелся на нас.
4 Тогда потопили бы нас воды,
поток пронесся бы над нами;
5 бурные воды прошли бы над душой нашей.
6 Благословен Господь,
Который не отдал нас добычей в их зубы.
7 Наша душа избавилась, как птица из сети ловца:
сеть порвана, и мы избавились.
8 Помощь наша – в имени Господа[a],
сотворившего небо и землю.

123 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
