口滑舌夸者耶和华剪灭之
12 大卫的诗，交于伶长。调用第八。
1 耶和华啊，求你帮助，因虔诚人断绝了，世人中间的忠信人没有了。
2 人人向邻舍说谎，他们说话是嘴唇油滑，心口不一。
3 凡油滑的嘴唇和夸大的舌头，耶和华必要剪除。
4 他们曾说：“我们必能以舌头得胜，我们的嘴唇是我们自己的，谁能做我们的主呢？”
5 耶和华说：“因为困苦人的冤屈和贫穷人的叹息，我现在要起来，把他安置在他所切慕的稳妥之地。”
6 耶和华的言语是纯净的言语，如同银子在泥炉中炼过七次。
7 耶和华啊，你必保护他们，你必保佑他们永远脱离这世代的人。
8 下流人在世人中升高，就有恶人到处游行。

12 여호와여,
도우소서.
경건한 자가 없어지고
정직한 자가 사라졌습니다.
2 모두 서로 속이고
거짓말로 아첨합니다.
3 여호와여,
아첨하는 입을 막으시고
자랑하는 혀를 끊으소서.
4 그들이 말합니다.
“우리가 우리 혀로 이기리라.
우리의 입술은 우리 것인데
누가 우리 입을 막는단 말인가!”
5 그러나 여호와는 말씀하십니다.
“짓눌리고 가난하며
탄식하는 자를 위해
내가 일어나리라.
그들의 소원대로
내가 그들을 안전한 곳에 두어
보호하리라.”
6 여호와의 말씀은 확실하여
용광로에 일곱 번이나
정련한 은처럼 순수합니다.
7 여호와여,
악한 자들의 손에서
영원히 우리를
지키시고 보호하소서.
8 더럽고 추한 일이
판을 치는 때에
악인들이 곳곳에
우글거리고 있습니다.

Man’s Treachery and God’s Constancy
To the Chief Musician. (A)On [a]an eight-stringed harp. A Psalm of David.
12 Help,[b] Lord, for the godly man (B)ceases!
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
2 (C)They speak idly everyone with his neighbor;
With flattering lips and [c]a double heart they speak.
3 May the Lord [d]cut off all flattering lips,
And the tongue that speaks [e]proud things,
4 Who have said,
“With our tongue we will prevail;
Our lips are our own;
Who is lord over us?”
5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
Now I will arise,” says the Lord;
“I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
6 The words of the Lord are (D)pure words,
Like silver tried in a furnace of earth,
Purified seven times.
7 You shall keep them, O Lord,
You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
8 The wicked prowl on every side,
When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
