¹耶和华啊，求你帮助，因虔诚人断绝了，世人中间的忠信人没有了。
²人人向邻舍说谎，他们说话是嘴唇油滑，心口不一。
³凡油滑的嘴唇和夸大的舌头，耶和华必要剪除。
⁴他们曾说：“我们必能以舌头得胜，我们的嘴唇是我们自己的，谁能做我们的主呢？”
⁵耶和华说：“因为困苦人的冤屈和贫穷人的叹息，我现在要起来，把他安置在他所切慕的稳妥之地。”
⁶耶和华的言语是纯净的言语，如同银子在泥炉中炼过七次。
⁷耶和华啊，你必保护他们，你必保佑他们永远脱离这世代的人。
⁸下流人在世人中升高，就有恶人到处游行。

12 耶和華啊，求你救我們！
因為世上的敬虔人不見了，
忠信的人在人間消失了。
²人人謊話連篇，
花言巧語，口是心非。
³願你剷除一切花言巧語和狂妄自誇的人。
⁴他們說：「我們必靠舌頭制勝，
嘴唇是我們自己的，
誰管得著我們？」
⁵耶和華說：「我要保護受欺壓的困苦人和哀歎的貧窮人，
使他們如願以償。」
⁶耶和華的應許純全，
就像在爐中煉過七次的銀子。
⁷耶和華啊，你必保護我們，
永遠不容惡人侵害我們。
⁸眾人若抑善揚惡，
惡人必橫行無忌。

Plea for Help in Evil Times

¹Help, O Lord, for there is no longer anyone who is godly;
the faithful have disappeared from humankind.^(A)
²They utter lies to each other;
with flattering lips and a deceitful heart they speak.^(B)

³May the Lord cut off all flattering lips,
the tongue that makes great boasts,^(C)
⁴those who say, “With our tongues we will prevail;
our lips are our own—who is our master?”

⁵“Because the poor are despoiled, because the needy groan,
    I will now rise up,” says the Lord;
    “I will place them in the safety for which they long.”^(D)
⁶The promises of the Lord are promises that are pure,
    silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
    purified seven times.^(E)

⁷You, O Lord, will protect us;
you will guard us from this generation forever.^(F)
⁸On every side the wicked prowl,
as vileness is exalted among humankind.^(G)
