Dios y los ídolos
115 No a nosotros, oh Jehová, no a nosotros,
Sino a tu nombre da gloria,
Por tu misericordia, por tu verdad.
2 ¿Por qué han de decir las gentes:
Dónde está ahora su Dios?
3 Nuestro Dios está en los cielos;
Todo lo que quiso ha hecho.
4 Los ídolos de ellos son plata y oro,
Obra de manos de hombres.
5 Tienen boca, mas no hablan;
Tienen ojos, mas no ven;
6 Orejas tienen, mas no oyen;
Tienen narices, mas no huelen;
7 Manos tienen, mas no palpan;
Tienen pies, mas no andan;
No hablan con su garganta.
8 Semejantes a ellos son los que los hacen,
Y cualquiera que confía en ellos.(A)
9 Oh Israel, confía en Jehová;
Él es tu ayuda y tu escudo.
10 Casa de Aarón, confiad en Jehová;
Él es vuestra ayuda y vuestro escudo.
11 Los que teméis a Jehová, confiad en Jehová;
Él es vuestra ayuda y vuestro escudo.
12 Jehová se acordó de nosotros; nos bendecirá;
Bendecirá a la casa de Israel;
Bendecirá a la casa de Aarón.
13 Bendecirá a los que temen a Jehová,
A pequeños y a grandes.(B)
14 Aumentará Jehová bendición sobre vosotros;
Sobre vosotros y sobre vuestros hijos.
15 Benditos vosotros de Jehová,
Que hizo los cielos y la tierra.
16 Los cielos son los cielos de Jehová;
Y ha dado la tierra a los hijos de los hombres.
17 No alabarán los muertos a JAH,
Ni cuantos descienden al silencio;
18 Pero nosotros bendeciremos a JAH
Desde ahora y para siempre.

115 Non a noi, o Eterno, non a noi ma al tuo nome dà gloria, per la tua benignità e per la tua fedeltà.
2 Perché direbbero le nazioni: «Dov'è ora il loro DIO?».
3 Ma il nostro DIO è nei cieli e fa tutto ciò che gli piace.
4 I loro idoli sono argento e oro, opera di mani d'uomo.
5 Hanno bocca ma non parlano, hanno occhi ma non vedono,
6 hanno orecchi ma non odono, hanno naso ma non odorano,
7 hanno mani ma non toccano, hanno piedi ma non camminano; con la loro gola non emettono suono alcuno.
8 Come loro sono quelli che li fanno, tutti quelli che in essi confidano.
9 O Israele, confida nell'Eterno! Egli e il loro aiuto e il loro scudo.
10 O casa di Aaronne, confida nell'Eterno! Egli è il loro aiuto e il loro scudo.
11 O voi che temete l'Eterno, confidate nell'Eterno! Egli è il loro aiuto e il loro scudo.
12 L'Eterno si è ricordato di noi e ci benedirà; sí, egli benedirà la casa d'Israele e benedirà la casa di Aaronne.
13 Egli benedirà quelli che temono l'Eterno, piccoli e grandi.
14 L'Eterno vi faccia crescere, voi e i vostri figli.
15 Siate benedetti dall'Eterno, che ha fatto i cieli e la terra.
16 I cieli sono i cieli dell'Eterno, ma la terra egli l'ha data ai figli degli uomini.
17 Non sono i morti che lodano l'Eterno, né alcuno di quelli che scendono nel luogo del silenzio.
18 Ma noi benediremo l'Eterno, ora e sempre. Alleluia.

1 Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,(B)
because of your love and faithfulness.(C)
2 Why do the nations say,
“Where is their God?”(D)
3 Our God is in heaven;(E)
he does whatever pleases him.(F)
4 But their idols are silver and gold,(G)
made by human hands.(H)
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,(I)
eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
7 They have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk,
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8 Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.
9 All you Israelites, trust(J) in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
10 House of Aaron,(K) trust in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
11 You who fear him,(L) trust in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
12 The Lord remembers(M) us and will bless us:(N)
He will bless his people Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,
13 he will bless those who fear(O) the Lord—
small and great alike.
14 May the Lord cause you to flourish,(P)
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven(Q) and earth.
