Cuando Israel salió de Egipto
114 Cuando Israel salió de Egipto,
la casa de Jacob de un pueblo extranjero,
2 Judá se convirtió en su santuario,
Israel en sus dominios.
3 Lo vio el mar y salió huyendo,
el Jordán retrocedió.
4 Como carneros saltaron los montes,
como corderillos las colinas.
5 ¿Qué tienes tú, mar, que huyes
y tú, Jordán, que retrocedes?
6 Montes, ¿por qué saltáis como carneros
y vosotras, colinas, como corderillos?
7 Tiembla, oh tierra, ante el Señor,
delante del Dios de Jacob,
8 que la roca torna en estanque,
la peña en un manantial.

114 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

the hills like lambs.
5 Why was it, sea, that you fled?(G)
Why, Jordan, did you turn back?

you hills, like lambs?
