El refugio del justo
Al músico principal. Salmo de David.
11 En Jehová he confiado;
¿Cómo decís a mi alma,
Que escape al monte cual ave?
2 Porque he aquí, los malos tienden el arco,
Disponen sus saetas sobre la cuerda,
Para asaetear en oculto a los rectos de corazón.
3 Si fueren destruidos los fundamentos,
¿Qué ha de hacer el justo?
4 Jehová está en su santo templo;
Jehová tiene en el cielo su trono;
Sus ojos ven, sus párpados examinan a los hijos de los hombres.
5 Jehová prueba al justo;
Pero al malo y al que ama la violencia, su alma los aborrece.
6 Sobre los malos hará llover calamidades;
Fuego, azufre y viento abrasador será la porción del cáliz de ellos.
7 Porque Jehová es justo, y ama la justicia;
El hombre recto mirará su rostro.

Confidence in Yahweh’s Righteousness
For the music director. Of David.[a]
11 In Yahweh I have taken refuge;
how can you say to my soul,
“Flee to your mountain like a bird”?
2 For look: The wicked string the bow.[b]
They have fitted their arrow to the string,
to shoot from the darkness
at the upright of heart.
3 When the foundations are destroyed
what can the righteous do?[c]
4 Yahweh is in his holy temple;
Yahweh is in the heavens on his throne.
His eyelids see;
they test the children of humankind.
5 Yahweh tests the righteous,
but the wicked and the lover of violence
his soul hates.
6 He will rain coals[d] on the wicked.
Burning sulfur and scorching wind
will be the portion of their cup.
7 For Yahweh is righteous;
he loves righteous deeds.
The upright shall see his face.

1 In the Lord I take refuge.(A)
How then can you say to me:
“Flee(B) like a bird to your mountain.(C)
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;(D)
they set their arrows(E) against the strings
to shoot from the shadows(F)
at the upright in heart.(G)
3 When the foundations(H) are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
4 The Lord is in his holy temple;(I)
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.(J)
He observes everyone on earth;(K)
his eyes examine(L) them.
5 The Lord examines the righteous,(M)
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.(N)
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;(O)
a scorching wind(P) will be their lot.
