5 耶和华察验义人和恶人，
祂憎恨邪恶和残暴之徒。
6 祂要把烈焰熊熊的火炭和硫磺降在恶人身上，
用炙热的风惩罚他们。
7 因为耶和华是公义的，
祂喜爱公义。
正直的人必见祂的面。

5 The Lord is righteous.
He examines the wicked.
He really hates[a] those who love violence.
6 On the wicked he will rain down fiery coals and sulfur.[b]
A scorching wind will be the cup given to them.
7 Indeed, the Lord is righteous. He loves righteousness.
The upright will view his face.

- Psalm 11:6 The Hebrew text reads snares, fire, and sulfur. The translation follows one Greek version, which inverts two letters in one Hebrew word, changing snares to fiery coals.
